Breaking limitations of the mind: the greatest enemies to breakthrough.

Whenever I hear people complain about the political/or economic system as a hindrance against them making it in life, I do nothing but laugh out loud. They think that it’s a perfect excuse that can preclude them from being a failure in their generation. In the same system that they are complaining about, there are people still making it in life. People are breaking through in their careers and areas of specialisation.

No matter how bad a system is, it cannot stand against a determined individual who has made up his mind to make it against all odds. The fact is that the greatest enemy of man is the mind. As it is often said that whatever the mind can conceive it can be achieved. For many people, their minds have caged them, hence they cannot break out of such limitations. They have greatness bundled up inside of them. Whenever they want to break out, their minds will push them back, and they will respond to the dictates of their minds.

A man who wins his mind has won his entire person, both spiritually and physically. When people lose in life, it means that they were already defeated in their minds. Remember that everyone is the product of their thought. You cannot grow beyond your thoughts. You cannot break out of the limit you set for yourself. Hence, the mind is a great instrument in the life of everyone. The wise know it, and they use it to their advantage.

Poverty is a choice just as being wealthy is also a choice. People who stay poor do so because they accept it and it comes from their mind. I am not ruling out the fact that system failure contributes to the success or failure of a person, but the fact remains that a determined person can grow beyond the limits caused by system failure and become a reference figure.
To break out of any limitations, one must first of all embrace a shift in one's thought pattern. You cannot believe that poverty is your thing and then you suddenly become rich. No, you must see yourself as making it in life first before such can be translated into the things you do. If what you’re doing will not translate into wealth, for instance, your mindset will tell you to change it to something else. That’s the point I am making.

Before we point fingers at the government and the failure of the system, we must first look into ourselves and solve the problem internally. When the internal problem has been solved, then we can see how to tackle the systemic issue. This is the only way we can win in life and defeat poverty.
