The Clock Is Part Of The Game - (Blitz Chess)

The Clock is Part of The Game

Set a Pace and Don't Hurry

There is plenty of time to make your moves if you stay calm and don't panic. This is probably true in most situations. However it has come to my attention that some may be disadvantage if they don't have a strong internet connection and a functional mouse. This is especially true for Bullet 2/1. While there always the opportunity or possibility to checkmate your opponent in less then thirty moves many times it's just a race with the clock. But remember the clock is part of the game and everyone is subject to the same rules.

A Change of Heart

For many years I personally ignored Blitz and Bullet chess. My only contact with this type of chess was limited to watching television where two old men played chess in the New York Parks. Chess has been such a big part of my life That I can't just sit on the side lines and talk about chess I played many year ago. I have no other option but to jump in and compete to win as always.

Now there have been quite a few people suggesting that playing chess should improve your focus and memory. Well that something I can't really verify yet. Although I haven't walk upstairs and forgot why or found my reading glasses in my shirt pocket after looking for them more then five minutes.

I would say that in addition to enjoying the game and competition there may be some physical benefits from playing and competing. You know it funny how many things repeat it self. Earlier I mention that my only contact with Blitz and Bullet chess was watching old men play chess in the New York Parks on television. Well I have now played a few practice / training games with @schamangerbert online but we are definitely not two old men playing chess in the New York parks but two young men playing chess online. :)
