I’ve been practicing my blitz 5/3 and 3/2 games the past few days so when my granddaughters come over and see me playing chess online they say; Grandpa why do you like chess so much. I say W H A T? Get over here I going to tell you a story.
(Oldest granddaughter (10yrs)): That alright we like chess too, I am in the chess club at school remember.
I know that “but get over here” I am going to tell you a story and I know you are going to like it.
(Youngest granddaughter (6yrs)) are you going to make it a scary story?
Never mind that! Just come over here and sits down so I can get started.
Now the only problem is I don’t really have a story. So when I promise a story and don’t really have one, I start my story out with a little questions and answers. If anyone finds themselves in this situation just go with the questions and answers thing you’ll get your story.
First question: Do you know when people first started playing Chess?
Second question: Do you know why people started playing chess?
Now there are more questions, answers and discussion in between but the last question is:
Yes Grandpa's are great...
What ever happen to the Steem Cousins???
I think the Steem Cousins may have a name change. :)
