It had been quite some time since I participated in one of these blockchain tournaments here on Hive, and although I thought I was losing my edge, two tournaments have shown me that I'm still among the stronger players in this section.
Today we'll talk about the most recent tournament I played in, which was Hivechess, part of this festival of tournaments held every weekend here, and I think it brings together some of the most powerful players on the entire blockchain.

I started this tournament quite late due to some family commitments, but that didn't stop me from scoring some good points and finishing almost on the podium, right behind the top players.
I didn't play too many excellent games; I mostly played against users who didn't have a very high rating, so it was quite easy, but it was also educational for me to know that I can still dominate less experienced players.

Many of these games have fairly simple finishes, but we followed the basic concepts of chess, which are controlling the center and always looking for moves that threaten the opponent's king.
I didn't overcomplicate things trying to find the best combination to finish off several of these players because I know that at some point, when I have an advantage, the game naturally tilts in my favor.

But even so, it's fun to share all these GIFs of the games I've played so you can get an idea of what these tournaments are like, and if you're not already participating, you can join next week.

As always, I thank everyone who organizes these tournaments, and I hope the season continues to be productive for everyone. I don't think I'll be able to play every single tournament, but these shorter ones I can play whenever I want.

Thank you, and if you want to play some games, you can contact me through my Lichess username. I'm almost always playing a game when I'm on the computer, so you can find me there very easily.
