All my past businesses could probably be described accurately as "mediocre" (I was self-employed most of my past adult life) Even when I was making less money than I could have at a pointless job, working for, under and with pointless people... I was much happier- independently.

I'm old and retired (mostly) now. I'm still adjusting to the fact that it's okay for me to do 'nothing' all day long if I choose too and I'll still get a check at the end of the month😏
