I'm excited to share the details, the emotions, and the memories that made it so special. So grab a cup of coffee, get cozy, and let's relive the magic together!

Our town is bursting with festive energy right now because the Karansa Sa Danao festival is just around the corner! It's happening on September 15th and 16th, and there's so much to look forward to. The festival features a bustling bazaar, a delicious food haven called "Kusina Sa Danao"

filled with local vendors offering all kinds of tasty treats and drinks, and a fantastic fair just a stone's throw from my house. The fair is a real treat, with exciting rides like a Ferris wheel and Viking swings.

Last Thursday, we celebrated my friend's birthday by heading to Kusina Sa Danao. We indulged in a feast of delicious food, and one of my friends even surprised us with a pizza to celebrate! It was a fantastic night, filled with laughter and good conversation. We wandered around Kusina Sa Danao, enjoying the food and sharing stories. Our conversations ranged from research papers to exciting possibilities for the future.

Last Saturday was another blast! I remember being exhausted from my hectic afternoon schedule at school. I was already drained by the time my friend and I decided to head into town to see if there were any events happening. After our last class, we stopped by the registration office at school to connect to the Wi-Fi and finish a few exams that were due that day. Then, we went into town and visited the church to pray for clarity, perseverance, and solutions to our problems.

Afterward, we decided to explore the town. My two friends, who are in a relationship, were celebrating their monthsary, so we had to go our separate ways to avoid distracting them. My friend and I went to Kusina sa Danao, which is on the boardwalk, and bought some drinks.

We enjoyed the ambiance of the little concert while we were there. As we were leaving, I saw my former teachers from CIJ, and I was so thrilled! It had been a long time since we had seen each other, so we took some photos and chatted for a bit. Eventually, we had to part ways, which was sad because I really wanted to stay. But my friend and I had already made plans, so it was fine. Maybe next time, if fate allows it, we can hang out again.

After that, we stopped by Manong Amon Park, a park dedicated to Manong Amon. I think he was the first leader of our town. We sat in the part of the park dedicated to him and talked about our research. I also mentioned how I wanted to go back to my job as an ESL teacher because I really love it. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go back this coming summer because I'm going to be an OJT student next year. However, I'm hoping to go back for the upcoming winter camp. We discussed this for a while, and then something unexpected happened. While my friend and I were talking, a special needs child grabbed his drink and drank it immediately before leaving it on the table. My friend and I were speechless for a moment, then we just started laughing. There wasn't much we could do about it, so we just let it go. Afterward, we threw away the drink that the special needs child had taken from my friend's cup after I finished mine.

We then went to the fair, which was quite a distance from where we were, but it was worth it. We walked around the fair, rode the Ferris wheel and the Viking ship, and played some games. My friend won one of the games and got 20 or 25 pesos.

After that, we continued to roam around the fair before deciding to leave. We bought some street food outside the fair and then went back to town to catch the bus home. When I got home, I received a few messages from my former co-teachers, who wanted me to go back to Kusina sa danao. I wasn't able to go back because I didn't have the money to travel there, but it was nice that they wanted me to return. My other co-teacher, who is also a student, had arrived at Kusina sa Danao, so they wanted us to reunite. I guess maybe next time. Thank you for reading my short blog 💖

Belated happy birthday to your friend! The foods sold there looks so delicious haha🥰

Happy Fiesta! This local celebration seems like wouldn't be complete if there's no Perya. We often go just for that if we could have time.

You're absolutely right! A Fiesta without a Perya is just not the same. The games, the food, the atmosphere - it's a must-have! I always make sure to squeeze in some Perya time whenever I can.

It was indeed unforgettable 😊
