His strong, renewed body trembled slightly, as if under the influence of an electric current and rushed forward rapidly. The tracks kept winding around the river bank, and soon, after passing low hills, the road led him to a huge arch, behind which a beautiful city with high towers could be seen. The tram turned its headlights into the sky and saw balloon lanterns hanging in the sky against the background of a huge satellite. At that moment, it seemed to him that the same kind boy was sitting in one of the balloons with his parents and was waving at him from above...

Теперь он уже не был старым, ржавым трамваем. Корпус его железного тела покрывали новые листы металла, а свежая краска на боках отражала зелень травы, в капельках росы которой играли солнечные блики. Его сильное обновлённое тело слегка дрожало, словно под воздействием электрического тока и стремительно неслось вперёд. Рельсовые пути всё время петляли, огибая берег реки, и вскоре, миновав невысокие холмы, дорога привела его к огромной арке, за которой виднелся прекрасный город с высокими башнями. Трамвай направил взгляд своих фар в небо и увидел, как на фоне огромного спутника в небе висят фонарики воздушных шаров. В этот момент ему показалось, что в одном из шаров сидит тот самый добрый мальчуган вместе со своими родителями и приветливо машет ему сверху...
