On my way home from school
I saw a large flower blooming at a neighbor's house
I don't know what it's called
But it was blooming in all its splendor

Time has passed since then
The neighbor's house is gone along with its owner
I changed my place of residence many times
I had forgotten all about those flowers
But now it's blooming again
I saw it blooming in a neighbor's house
as beautiful as it was back then
With the same beauty

近所の家に大輪の花が咲いていた
名前はわからないけれど
豪華絢爛に咲いていた

あれから時は流れ
近所の家は主とともになくなり
私は棲み処を何回も変え
その花のことなどすっかり忘れていたけれど
今また
近所の家に咲いていた
あの頃と変わらない
美しさで
