Hi guys, this very one was my favorite portrait sculptural piece. It was done to this level spending a week on the project. I used sieved and well pounded African clay, a little of ceramics clay to really detail it well.
Materials I used were: scupper, spatula, beater, improvise modelling stand...
Bellow is the progress shot, not yet detailed here, as you can see not yet having hair, we have to get the scull "skeleton view) first before detailing it.
Below is the close shot of the piece, I enjoyed working on it. Actually he was a childhood friend, so am so firmiliar with him.
