THE COVID DOCTOR HAS LANDET

It has been a long drawn out process to finish this piece. I got so used to self-quarantine since the lock-down in April, I rarely went to my studio to work, but stayed home hacking around on the computer. After working on some small paintings in the studio, I finally decided to tackle a larger drawing again. Worked on it in fits and starts starting August 3rd, putting on the finishing touches on August 29th.

Inspiration for this piece were the medieval plague doctors, but I quickly get off track and just let my graphite stick decide where it wants to go.

^{Tech details: I use graphite pencils from H5 to B9, graphite sticks, kneaded erasers, eraser pencils and electric erasers. There is also some frottage involved, and textures are pulled with a kneaded eraser.}
