In my room I found an old transparent cover. Transparent covers over time become yellow and not beautiful, he lingered in me for about a year and he also turned yellow. It was ugly to throw away, but to wear it is somehow not nice, so I decided to change it.
I used:
• Red, brown, green, white, red paint.
• Bones № 1 and 24.
• Ballpoint pen.
• Acrylic varnish
for starters I painted it light brown.
Then I took a ballpoint pen and sketched a sketch of the future drawing, I thought for a long time what would be depicted on my cover. I went to the pinterest and saw a funny case with a frog 🐸 and I drew but I thought that something was missing and near the frog I drew two big and one small mushrooms🍄.
Then I took a white and brush number 1 and drew with it the roots of the mushroom and the spots on the cap and white freckles of the frog.
I thought the background was too boring so I took some more white paint and painted white spots like a mushroom cap.
I realized I had made a mistake. It was necessary to first coat the hat itself with red and then to coat the spots with it. Well, you can't do anything.
I took the red paint and carefully circled these white spots and painted red. I did it with bone number 1, in principle with bone number 24 I drew only the background.
I made the same mistake with the frog's eyelids.
I mixed the light green color and drew a frog with it.
Poim I drew black eyes and a mouth and white freckles
I already had to paint the contour and varnish, I did all this and when I varnished, I made the biggest mistake. I forgot that acrylic varnish and gouache cover not so much twice and each piece separately. For example, the first contour of the varnish, it dries, I paint a cap of varnish in mushrooms, then spots on the cap.
But then I varnished and I made the frog lighter and that's what happened.
Nice work, It would have been an interesting experiment if you had painted on the inside of the case. It would have softened the brush strokes and made the image more hard-wearing.
