An happy Thursday to you all! It's time for a new sweet (fat) bird, but before to show you my latest one, I want to tell you about the italian word "Strano".
As I use to say, my English is not so fluid and sometimes I have to check the right therm to use when I want to represent a meaning that I had in my mind in italian (my mother language). "Strano" is the common italian word for us to say weird/odd and strange. Sure, we have other specific italian words too, but "strano" is the most commonly used to represent the 3 words weird/odd/strange.
Reading the meanings of the 3 english word, I decided to use "odd" for this kind of bird: an odd Upupa ^_^
It's an oil painting on 200 gsm paper and it's part of a series of artworks about sweet (fat) birds in different shades of colors.
In the following pics you can see the process of this painting:
I hope you like it and stay tuned to see more new odd birds!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
