Digital portrait in sketchbookpro

in OnChainArt3 years ago

I'm happy to share my newest digital portrait illustration. I've been illustrating food and glossy objects for a while and I was beginning to miss faces. So I decided to create one to satisfy my artistic need and also to put something beautiful in the world today.

This was painted in autodesk sketchbookpro on my huion tablet. I'm very happy with the colors I used.

I'll share my step by step process below.

At this point, I decided the background was not really working out for me anymore because her skin was olivey to me. So I decided to make it brighter and from there, I could see the vibrancy in the colors if chosen.

At this point, I decided to return to the navy blue I'd intended for the dress and which hadn't worked out with the previous background. This really helped with the contrast and then I added my signature scribble effect with the glow brush tool to make it more interesting.
