RE: DAILY PAINTING - a Crude, rude, 30 mins and done daily painting of a gingerbread man

Yeah, even so only matters if you're going in for a realism style haha. Just sometimes I don't think enough and wonder why it doesn't work for me, not realizing I should be doing something else. Mixing paint is so interesting, and here we also have a struggle with the composition in colors. Using paint (or being a painter in general) gave me a few learnings in chemistry and sometimes physics. 🤣

"spoiling a big one ive been working on for months" because im not quite in the mood.

Hahaha omg I totally get this. I'm like this too. I call it practice but it's more like procrastination most of the time LOL. The back of my mind is telling me JUST DO IT!!!

Sort:

im very keen on colour theory. I was well into it with my oil painting i used to do. I think you asked somewhere about my main medium. it USED to be oils just don't have the space so 90% these days its acrylic.

thats why i like time daily paintings. pick a subject you know you can do in an hour... then if its shit... "NEXT" and keep moving... you learn lots.

i like to faf and fiddle and go for perfection... but i learn more and find more "instant dopamine" from doing daily paintings.

you should give it a go??
