Estaba escuchando música en YouTube, y como mis gustos son una ensalada, el reproductor me terminó llevando de “Fleur de Lis” a un video de Black Pink y bueno… las chicas eran lindas (aunque también me gustó la canción). Así que me entró esa inspiración repentina y dije “Vo’ a dibujar una coreana toda bonita”.
I was listening to music on YouTube, and since my tastes are a salad, the music player ended up taking me from “Fleur de Lis” to a Black Pink video and well… the girls were pretty (although I liked the song too). So that sudden inspiration came in and I said "I'm going to draw a pretty Korean girl."
Entré a Pinterest y empecé a buscar por medio de las palabras clave “Cute Corean girl” alguna que me gustara para darle mi propio toque (realmente no sé si es coreana, pero es asiática). Encontré una y me puse manos a la obra.
I went to Pinterest and started searching using the keywords "Cute Korean girl" for any that I liked to give it my own touch.I found one and got to work (I really don't know if she's Korean, but she's Asian).
Me gustó bastante cómo quedó el dibujo en tradicional.
Si alguien te dice alguna vez que usar referencias es “trampa”, no les hagas caso. Incluso los ilustradores profesionales utilizan referencias.
I liked how ended up the drawing.
If someone ever tells you that using references is “cheating”, ignore them. Even professional illustrators use references.

Además de darle su color base, probé a añadirle algunos puntos de rubor y colorear los lábios desde el principio. Creo que quedó bien.
In addition to giving her her base color, I tried adding some blush points and coloring the lips since the beginning. I think it turned out good.

Y llegaron los cristales. Los dejé de último porque parecía conveniente y así no estorbaban. Primeró apliqué sólo la base de color de la misma forma que hago con todo lo demás.
And the crystals arrived. I left them for the end because it seemed convenient and that way they didn't interfere. First: I applied only the base color in the same way that I do with everything else.
Para darle más volumen y ese efecto de cristal a los lentes se puede hacer el borde más oscuro, aunque hay mil y un formas de hacerlo mejor que esta.
To give more volume and that glass effect to the lenses you can make the edge darker, although there are many more better ways to do it than this one.
No nos podíamos olvidar del punto donde se refleja la luz en el cristal. Yo uso el modo de fusión “Color dodge” para ese tipo de cosas.
We couldn't forget the point where the light reflected on the glass. I use the "Color dodge" blending mode for that sort of thing.
En una capa de “Multiplicar” coloree todo el dibujo con un tono frío y borré las partes donde no quería sombras para que contrastara con la luz cálida que quería.
También apliqué un brillo muy simple en el pelo, no me da para más el mouse.
In a "Multiply" layer, I colored the entire drawing with a cool tone and erased the parts where I didn't want shadows to contrast with the warm light I wanted.
I also applied a very simple glitter to her hair, that’s all I was able to do with the mouse.

Aquí está una de las partes que más me gustaron: Copié la capa del lineart, la teñí de un color rosa muy saturado y con un pincel muy suave borré las partes donde no quería que se viera de ese color (todo aprendido de un tutorial de cómo dibujar como Ilya Kushinov).
Here is one of the parts that I liked the most: I copied the layer from the lineart, dyed it a saturated pink color and with a very soft brush I erased the parts where I did not want it to show that color (all learned from a tutorial of how to draw like Ilya Kushinov).
Con dos capas en modo “Lighten” agregué luz azul detrás, y roja por encima de ella, quemando asílos bordes.
With two layers in "Lighten" mode I added blue light behind it, burning the edges.
Ya casi para finalizar copié todas las capas y las junté; luego, a esa copia le apliqué un blur gausiano y borré las partes importantes de la chica para que únicamente los bordes salieran borrosos.
Almost to finish I copied all the layers and put them together; Then I applied a Gaussian blur to that copy and erased the important parts of the girl so that only the edges were blurred.
Casi al terminar me decidí por volver a usar el efecto de “Aberración cromática” así que lo apliqué también. Que no falten los filtros (y menos mal porque quedó bien).
Almost at the end I decided to go back to using the “Chromatic aberration” effect so I applied it too. Don’t let there be a lack of filters (and thank goodness because it turned out good).
