Daily Painting — End-of-Week Chaos Edition

Ok folks... sticky end of the week for sure. It’s been dreadful. I was honestly thinking we were going to lose power last night in the storm... it browned out a couple of times. However, we are still good. There are STILL people without power from Sunday and Monday (it’s Wednesday night here).

Anyway. As I was charging my phone in the other room (in case we lost power) I only have one progress shot of this daily painting.

🎨 Colours

Sky:

• Cobalt
• A tad of ultramarine at the top
• A tad of burnt sienna
• A little yellow closer to the horizon

Mountains:

• Darker version of the sky colour
• Tiny touch of green

Middle hills:
These need to be pushed back a bit more — I added a tiny bit too much colour and made them maybe half a shade too dark.

Town in the distance:
It needs a glaze/wash to knock it all back, but everything was too wet in the hour I allowed. I’ll do that another day.

Foreground greens:
Lots of purple in the shadows so the greens pop more.

Aussie Wildlife Proof (LOL)

Yesterday I posted photos from the little photo walk, telling you ALL ABOUT the kangaroos that live in the empty lot around the corner. I’m sure there were some “non-Aussies” who were like... pffffff... she lies... lol.

Well today, on the way home from school drop... I saw exactly that!!! So here I tender... “Aussie animals in the wild of suburbia.”

its my intention, and i say intention to post a daily painting of this scene somehow tomorrow... we will see... (with these little paintings every "element you add" makes it a bit longer i find. so we will see.

😵‍💫 Rest of the Week = Shit Show

The words “SHIT SHOW” come to mind...

There is about 22 hours of dancing between now and Sunday (plus school) for the girls. It’s nearly show weekend and we have all-day rehearsals both Saturday and Sunday... so that should be fun...

Fingers crossed I can make it to the end of the challenge.

for me i think between my girls we have 17 dance classes thursday friday, then an all day (and i mean all day) rehersal saturday then Sunday dress at the venue...

so ending with ballet humour
