Composition is one of the most difficult things to master in art, knowing where to put each element and that each of these elements has coherence when visualizing them, composition is practically an art by itself, and this is a skill that can only be achieved with daily practice and constant study that will bear fruit over time. For this occasion I want to share with you the process of creating my latest illustration in which I incorporate the composition.

La composición es una de las cosas más difíciles de dominar del arte, el saber dónde poner cada elemento y que cada uno de estos elementos tenga coherencia a la hora de visualizarlos, la composición es prácticamente un arte por sí mismo, y esta es una habilidad que solo se puede alcanzar con la práctica diaria y el estudio constante que con el tiempo ira rindiendo frutos. para esta ocasión quiero compartirles el proceso de creación de mi última ilustración en el cual incorporo la composición.

Every illustration project begins with a central idea and a scene is built around that idea, adding elements that complement what you want to convey and that give meaning to the illustration itself.
For this occasion I wanted to focus the main idea of my illustration on the female figure, I placed the figure in the center of the canvas, a woman with delicate features with an expression of serenity and with her shoulders in different positions.
todo proyecto de ilustración comienza con una idea central y se va construyendo una escena alrededor de esa idea, añadiendo elementos que complementen lo que se quiere transmitir y que den sentido a la misma ilustración.
Para esta ocasión quise centrar la idea principal de mi ilustración en la figura femenina, coloqué la figura en el centro del lienzo, una mujer de facciones delicada con una expresión de serenidad y con los hombros en distintas posiciones.
Once I have the drawing of the main figure ready, I begin to incorporate the base colors, for this I used a very opaque orange color and I lightened it to give a little variation and delimit the areas of light and shadow.
Una vez que ya tengo listo el dibujo de la figura principal empiezo a incorporar los colores bases, para ello usé un color anaranjado muy opaco y lo fui aclarando para ir dando un poco de variación y delimitar las zonas de luces y sombras.
I start adding stronger colors little by little helping me with the spray tool, I opted for reddish colors that would give a strong impression of warmth and life.
Empiezo a agregar colores más fuertes de a poco ayudándome con la herramienta de aerosol, opte por colores rojizos que dieran una fuerte impresión de calor y vida.
Now it accentuated the colors more and fixed the shadows more strongly, always keeping the reference in our light source.
Ahora acentuó más los colores y fijo con más fuerza las sombras siempre manteniendo la referencia en nuestra fuente de luz.
At this point, having already worked on the main figure, I begin to focus on building the scene in its entirety and for this I decide to add several elements, among them the first will be a beautiful crow that I outlined little by little and to which I wanted to incorporate a design that made it look like a puzzle.
En este punto ya habiendo trabajado en la figura principal empiezo a enfocarme en ir construyendo la escena en su totalidad y para ello decido agregar varios elementos, entre ellos el primero será un hermoso cuervo al que fui delineando poco a poco y al que quise incorporar un diseño que lo hiciera parecer un rompecabezas.
When thinking of incorporating a raven, it gave me the idea of a night scene and to combine with the environment I wanted to add some dry branches that would give that dark feeling of uncertainty.
Al pensar en incorporar un cuervo me dio la idea de un escenario nocturno y para combinar con el entorno quise añadir algunas ramas secas que dieran esa sensación tenebrosa de incertidumbre.
At this point I start to work on what will be the background of our illustration, so I add a slightly greenish dark colored background and paint over it with some lighter blue and yellow tones, all this with very opaque colors.
En este punto comienzo a trabajar en lo que será el fondo de nuestra ilustración, así que añado un fondo de un color oscuro un poco verdoso y pinto sobre el con algunos tonos azules y amarillos más claros, todo esto con colores muy opacos.
As I want a very clear night, I start to create light effects by adding lighter colors, different types of blue, white and yellow will be enough for this task, I also take the opportunity to add some extra elements.
Como quiero una noche con mucha claridad empiezo a crear efectos de luces añadiendo colores más claros, distintos tipos de azules, blancos y amarillos serán suficientes para esta labor, además aprovecho para agregar algunos elementos extras.
Every composition requires a bit of planning so that the result is what we want, as long as we dedicate enough time and effort to it, we can do it.
