TABIR
Is an Indonesan word that have the same meaning as "Curtain" in English.
I choose that word for this illustration's title as a representation of things that I try to tell with this illustration.
This illustration has the meaning of things that are not fully visible and then considered taboo. Or you could say that what is considered taboo is actually something that is not fully understood but is immediately labeled.
The naked woman's body symbolizes the word taboo because in some parts of the world, nudity is considered taboo. A closed face represents incomplete knowledge and understanding. The night with moon setting depicts a mixture of dark and light which symbolizes knowledge being covered up.
I hope this one is enjoyable, stay safe and, Cheers!

This is cool stuff. Do you have a graphics tablet? I used to do cleaner line works like this but after wanting to transition fully to digital (doing away with paper) my lines really suck and adjusting to the new tools also made it harder.
I'm tempted to just do the old routine of drawing on paper, scan, and then adjust. Those methods are easier to do and the output will look better than when I just go digital throughout.
Nope, I wish i have one tho.. Yea, I bet there's a need for adjustments, but that really is do-able, right?
do-able yeah but a slow crawl. I'm negotiating with the new program, old hardware, and rusty muscle memory but thriving nonetheless.
Yea, that's the adventure, all we need is just patience. Arts and it's processes are a journey after all, not a destination 😉
I like the linework, and the contrast you made with the black sky. My favourite is the black and white version. The concept is pretty good also!
Hi! Thanks a lot!
