I have just joined this incredible worldphotography community. I saw this Music of the world contest. This topic is very close to my heart. As a TV director I did a lot of effort to archive and save these dying music instruments. So I might a bit late to this contest but I will share some love from Pakistan.
Alghoza is a traditional music instrument of Sindh, Pakistan. It requires a lot of skill to handle this instrument. This instrument consists of two flutes. One flute for melody and the second for long rhythm. A continuous flow of air is necessary and it is the skill of the player that how do they maintain it for several minutes.
Morchang is a small metal instrument and is widely used in the Sindhi Folk Music. It consists of two metal pieces with a metal tongue in the middle. That metal tongue vibrates and creates some awesome music. This instrument has 1500 years old history in India.
Boneendo is a traditional musical instrument of Sindh, Pakistan and is made with pottery or clay. The instrument is probably one of the oldest instruments in the world. A clay music instrument was being found during the excavations of Mohenjo-daro (2500 BCE) an archaeological site Pakistan.
