I think my favorite time trolling a scammer was when my friend AngryChipmunk1 was scammed. The guy showed him a picture of paypal transactions as proof that he's legit, so my friend sent first without a middleman. The dude blocks him and disappears and the discord account goes dark. Pretty standard stuff so far.
Where it gets interesting is someone DM's me out of the blue with the exact same screenshot about a week later. I call him out, and I tell him that I can't believe he scammed my friend. For some reason, he doesn't go dark, and he just starts cussing me out. I'm loving every minute of it.
So I reach out to cornavirus, and I give him the low down on what happened since I know he likes to hunt scammers. Cornavirus gets the scammer to do a legit trade on his main account with a middleman, and I get the scammer to confess to scamming my friend explicitly. We gather together the evidence, and we got him banned on the discord server-- both his main discord and his fake one he created for scamming, and corna added him to his list of scammer accounts.
Yeah my experience with coronavirus wasn't so good and the crazy thing is it almost seems as if nothing happened after the fact... I mean I personally don't have anything towards the guy, but I probably won't be interacting with him much moving forward. That still has a lingering feeling for me that day on discord.
