Exposición Navideña en "Parque Costa Azul"/Christmas exhibition at Costa Azul Park 🎄🎨

Ustedes saben que de todos los centros comerciales en la Isla el C.C. Parque Costa Azul no es de mis favoritos para visitar, pero por diferentes motivos me ha tocado ir varias veces últimamente, y mi última visita fue casi que relámpago, ya que estuve con mi esposo buscando un protector para el Aire Acondicionado que se nos había dañado y teníamos que regresar temprano para que él pudiese instalarlo, pero como ya sabíamos donde estaba la tienda todo fue relativamente rápido, por lo que aprovechamos el tiempo para caminar un poco antes de regresar a casa.

You know that of all the shopping centers on the island, Parque Costa Azul is not my favorite to visit, but for various reasons I have had to go there several times lately, and my last visit was almost a whirlwind, as I was with my husband looking for a cover for the air conditioner that had broken down and we had to return early so he could install it. But since we already knew where the store was, everything went relatively quickly, so we took advantage of the time to walk around a bit before returning home.

Lamentablemente no estaba con los chicos, porque como les digo fue una salida exclusiva para comprar el protector del aire y regresar a casa, pero ahora me arrepiento de no haber ido todos porque días después tanto mi esposo como los chicos agarraron una gripe horrible, y de hecho Miranda sigue un poco enferma, ya que como saben se complica con el asma y tenemos más de una semana sin salir, pero bueno, de esto no es lo que les venía a hablar, sino de lo que vi en esa visita a Parque Costa Azul.

Y es que en medio de nuestro recorrido nos encontramos con una exposición de arte súper linda, y la verdad me emocionó bastante porque hace tiempo que no la actualizaban, solo movían las obras de lugar, y las mezclaban con otras, pero tenían las mismas desde hace más de dos años, así que se imaginarán lo feliz que estaba al ver cosas nuevas, pero lo que más me gustó es que la temática era netamente navideña.

Unfortunately, I wasn't with the kids because, as I said, it was a trip just to buy the air filter and come back home, but now I regret not going with them because a few days later, both my husband and the kids caught a terrible flu, and in fact, Miranda is still a little sick because, as you know, it's complicated with her asthma, and we haven't been out for over a week, but anyway, that's not what I came here to talk about, but rather what I saw on that visit to Costa Azul Park.

In the middle of our tour, we came across a really beautiful art exhibition, and I was really excited because it hadn't been updated in a long time. They just moved the works around and mixed them with others, but they had had the same ones for over two years, so you can imagine how happy I was to see new things. But what I liked most was that the theme was purely Christmas-related.

Las obras en su mayoría son sobre lienzo y con la técnica del óleo, algunas como característica distintiva utilizaban bordado líquido, en algunos lugares de las piezas como para resaltar, pero en general esas son las dos técnicas que puedes ver en el recorrido, y como personaje principal podemos ver a Jesús, en la gran mayoría de las piezas, y es que justamente su nacimiento es lo que recordamos en estas fechas, así que por supuesto que tenía que ser el protagonista, pero podemos ver también algunas pinturas de tinte religioso y otras relacionadas con la navidad como tal.

Algo que me encantó de esta exposición es que básicamente eran dos en una, ya que podías ver piezas de artistas ya consagrados en sus caballetes, y en una de las paredes una gran cantidad de piezas pequeñas realizadas por niños de entre 5 y 12 años de edad que fue realmente lo que atrajo mi atención porque en serio habían unas piezas que te dejaban boquiabierto a ver la edad del artista... es increíble el talento que hay en esta isla.

Most of the works are on canvas and use the oil painting technique. Some feature liquid embroidery as a distinctive characteristic in certain areas of the pieces to highlight them, but in general, those are the two techniques you can see throughout the exhibition. Jesus is the main character in the vast majority of the pieces, as it is his birth that we remember at this time of year, so of course he had to be the protagonist, but we can also see some paintings with religious overtones and others related to Christmas itself.

Something I loved about this exhibition is that it was basically two in one, as you could see pieces by established artists on their easels, and on one of the walls a large number of small pieces made by children between the ages of 5 and 12, which really caught my attention because there were some pieces that left you speechless when you saw the age of the artist... the talent on this island is incredible.

En el caso de las pinturas de los niños se mantienen los mismos materiales, óleo y bordado liquido y en cuanto al tema es el mismo, solo que al ser cuadros más pequeños y estar en la pared, hay una variedad de escenas increíbles, en su mayoría pesebres o nacimientos, eso sí, cada uno a su estilo, mi favorito fue uno con los personajes de Peanuts, Snoopy o Charlie Brown, como conocen algunos a esta serie animada que es de mis favoritas en el mundo mundial, y aunque no era perfecto, la verdad los personajes se veían bastante bien, sobre todo si tomamos en cuenta que el pequeño artista tiene solo 7 años.

Por otro lado puedes ver escenas donde los protagonistas son renos, santas, muñecos de nieve y un sin fin de personajes propios de la navidad, que aunque no son de nuestro país, las hemos adoptado como nuestras y la verdad es que les quedaron tan bellas que cuesta creer que fueron realizadas por niños tan pequeños.

In the case of the children's paintings, the same materials are used, oil and liquid embroidery, and the theme is the same, except that because the paintings are smaller and are on the wall, there is a variety of incredible scenes, mostly nativity scenes, each in its own style. My favorite was one with the characters from Peanuts, Snoopy, or Charlie Brown, as some know this animated series, which is one of my favorites in the whole world. And although it wasn't perfect, the characters actually looked pretty good, especially considering that the little artist is only 7 years old.

On the other hand, you can see scenes where the protagonists are reindeer, Santa Claus, snowmen, and countless other Christmas characters. Although they are not from our country, we have adopted them as our own, and the truth is that they turned out so beautiful that it is hard to believe they were made by such young children.
