A wandering night on the last days of winter. Maybe Hue city gonna be over the cold winter and heavy rains. The weather lately just left a drizzle that makes it wetter on the roads, just the light rain as fog but it partly wet the shoulders of a wanderer in the night. In rains, Hue city looks like puts on some cold tones cover in the golden light that creates a feeling different to other cities in Vietnam. A sad beauty but still with a little color of the street light.
Today, I have a wandering night go over the streets in Hue city and feel the beauty under the streets along with the cold weather and a little drizzle. In that drizzle, I realize Hue city has a lot of the old beauty that hides in the scenes of the streets and on the light of the city. They make me remember some memories from childhood, so I want to walk on the street and discover all of the beauty here. Let's come with me to wandering several places, take some photos and see the beauty in the cold weather of Hue streets.
Le Loi street - The road along the southern bank of Huong River
The first street I drop by that is Le Loi street. The road is located on the southern banks of the Huong River, this is the main road along the river that has many famous tourist destinations and several natural beauties such as Nguyen Dinh Chieu walking street, the green park at the riverside, Quoc Hoc high school, and other historical sites. Le Loi street is one of the streets known as the green road in Hue city because of the beautiful old trees on both sides of the road and the green lawn of the riverside parks. Besides, this is also the place to save many types of Royal art as known as Hue Royal Refined Music (Vietnamese mean "Nhã Nhạc Cung Đình Huế"). Today, they're developed more based on tourism, both to promote the arts and culture of the homeland and contribute to preserving the artistic values that existed for a long time. Come here you can take a boat ride on the Huong River and enjoy Hue Royal Refined Music by unique dragon boats that have two sides of the river.
Tran Hung Dao Street - The road along the northern bank of Huong River
Crossing Truong Tien Bridge, we walk in the bridge to come Tran Hung Dao Street that the road along the northern bank of Huong River. We have a walking around here which is the main road to go inside the inner citadel. There are a lot of tourists who usually stop by to visit historical sites and buy souvenirs. Because affected by the weather, People's flow was less frequent and leaving only the lights of the city, the souvenir shops, and the light of historical sites reflected in the fog of drizzle.
We stop at an aquarium store that sold all kinds of colorful fish and buy some food for my aquarium, by the way, I take some pictures. There are a lot of aquarium and souvenir stores on this road, you can stop and look at them whenever you want.
I entered the streets inside the inner citadel. The further inside, the street becomes deserted because partly is affected by the rains and there is nothing on the side of the road except historical sites. Silence covers the streets here, I across the lawns and walking on the sidewalks. Standing under the golden light that shines down a sad color on the pavement, I feel like I'm returning to the old memories of my childhood. This golden light makes me remember the light of an oil lamp in power outages days when I sit around my family and heard them tell stories about the old days. That is memory makes me remember forever.
Enjoy streets drinks
After wandering through some streets on two sides of Huong River. I stopped by a beer and coffee shop on Tran Hung Dao street end enjoyed a beer and food with my friends that I had made an appointment with. We talk about the weather in Hue city, the pictures I took, and some plans for the upcoming Lunar New Year.
A night wandering on the streets with different feelings on each streets corner. Closing the evening with a conversation around my friends and new ideas I had while standing on the quiet streets. This is a wonderful experience with many things on the streets. Hue will forever be the city that holds many memories in my mind and I hope that my article will give you a fresh view of Hue city at night, besides, it will give you great ideas in your plans and for the upcoming trips.
