Emerald waterfall in a cave-like environment, Slovenia

in Wednesday Walk2 years ago (edited)

Good morning, good evening, good afternoon, good midnight dear Hive community. Today is Wednesday, and we want to take you to the Kozjak waterfall in Soca Valley.

Luckily we started early, at 9 o'clock we were already on the road to Kobarid with some cool African sounds of Black Sheriff. We reached the parking spot very positive and full of energy. The day was without a cloud and air was very fresh. Not a single soul was passing our way, and we enjoyed very much the silence and sounds of nature and river around us.

Normally, to be able to see the waterfall, you need to pay an entrance fee. In winter time, since there are almost no tourists, this fee is not required. In our opinion these prices are very expensive starting from 5 to 15 euros. Take into the consideration that when full season, the place is packed and crowded, so there is no such joy in visit itself and of course taking pictures.

Because we came early, we catch the right timing of the sunlight. We were able to take nice pictures, playing with shadows and different settings.

Another time we will visit it, is in wintertime when it'll be fully frozen.

After admiring the beautiful 15 meters high waterfall in a cave-like scenery and spending some quality time there, we had a small break to enjoy some protein bars for our muscles ;)

It's like a hidden world :) ... How unfortunate that it's packed like that in the summer. If they charge that much money, the groups should be small, for a good experience.

Are you familiar with Dreemport, by the way? It can help you to get more readers for your posts 🙌

Very cool observation, it's quite a narrow and intersting path here by the Soca river.

Totally agree, normally it's so crowdy that is not attractive to visit at all. If you are alone there, you can make some awesome pictures 🤗

No, but sounds interesting. Will google it. Thank you for recommendation 🙏💛

I think you'll love Dreemport, I'm an official Ambassador there :) If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me :)

Thank you! We've actually joined yesterday, but we are still discovering everything. The principle behind is amazing! Thanks again 🌻💛
We'll definitely reach out to you, if we need any help! 🤗

I just came here to visit your blog since your name intrigued me when I saw your comment on my blog!

I was going to put this post into DreemPort because it was so beautiful. I showed my husbadn and he said - no... I already saw that post! hehehehe

I said oh! was it in DreemPort this week??? he said yep!

and now i see that you've met the wonderful @wrestlingdesires hehehe

so you are already an old pro!!! :)

we are still a "baby project" but my hope is that in 2023.. we will start to grow, and really blossom into what DreemPort was intended to be... a place for people to meet quality content creators all around the web- and share their own work - knowing that it will actually be SEEN, instead of waiting for people to discover them ! hehehe

that's my hope anyway! let's wait and see what happens!

So nice to meet you!

I knew you would love this post ♥️ Amazing how we both found it separately!

hehehhee yes!!! but I suppose not really... because DreemPort was the connection hehehe

These are very beautiful scenery.
It reminds me of the last time I visited a waterfall, about 7 years ago. I enjoyed every moment i spent and the adventure involved.

wonderful post, i am sure you enjoyed yourself.
I came in through dreemport

Thank you! This wonders of nature are always breathtaking 💧🌎
Happy to hear you enjoyed, maybe soon time to visit some more 🙃
Thank you again for stopping by!

I would love to visit here someday. Beautiful photographs!

Thank you! You are always welcome here in Slovenia. Super impressing rivers, springs and nature. Specially beautiful are the Julian Alps! 💛🌟

Wao! Beautiful place! I love it❤

It's amazing nature scenery! Very very photogenic ☺️
Thank you for stopping by at our post, really appreciated 🌞

Such a beautiful place! That waterfall is amazing

Thank you! It's a magical place indeed! 🌟💛

Wow! Gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. I love places like this.

They are amazing! You would enjoy here for sure 🤗 Wish you a nice day! 🌻

A beautiful little spot you have there and what a wonderful walk. I love how the sun comes into that almost cavelike environment with the waterfall in the background. It's so wonderful to be able to appreciate nature in all its seasons, and being able to escape when the usual tourist throngs have chosen instead to stay away and stay indoors provides the perfect opportunity for real peace and quiet and communing with nature... and nobody else in your pics too!! A huge added bonus. !LOLZ I'm wondering how long your walk was... - I think I could have explored around there for hours on end. Stunning. Thank you for sharing. !LUV

I dropped in from Dreemport this evening.
#dreemer for life

Did you hear about the actor who fell through the floorboards?
He was just going through a stage.

Thank you so much! Your commment is really appreciated!

Normally you can walk to there in 30 minutes from the parking. Around the river Soča there are many circular paths that include the waterfall as well. You can also take a historical trail around ruins of the world war. Definitely there is plenty to see and explore. 🙃
I bet you could stick around here for days.

Have a nice day! 🤗🌻💛

Sounds awesome! Such a beautiful spot... have a wonderful weekend 🤗 !ALIVE

I think this is the second time I read here that entrance fees varies on the climate season.
Well who would like to travel if the snow keeps falling?
Aside from it was cold, I think little bit dangerous

The place was awesome btw!

Here in this Soca Valley the turism is mainly in the warm months from March to September, as majority comes here for adrenalin sports, mountainering, cycling and other sports. Even tho we have one skiing center near, winter tourism is not so popular.

Haha, that would be us 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋‍♂️ no matter the conditions, try to take the best out of the day 🌟💛

Thank you for your comment!

Wish you a nice evening @lhes 🌟

Oh it looks amazing!

It's very mighty, sadly even the photos are so nice still you cannot capture the feelings and its essence 😄💛

What a beautiful place I would like to go one day if I have the money.

Keep hustling on the Hive and I'm sure one day it will pay off for you! 🤞 Travel can be organized on a low budget as well 🙃
Thank you for your comment! 😊

Fantastic, can you camp there overnight?

Yes, you can but it might be challenging with small island there and full turistic 😅 I don't recommend, rather somewhere on alone and in peace 🌄

Sounds better than a bit more off the beaten track!

Definitely! There are many ways to travel and it can be far from mainstream turistic points and stops 😊

Beautiful scenery, especially that waterfall.

Thank you! Really happy you stopped by 😄

Nature kid wow such an awesome description for the talented photographer well this waterfall looked like an ice eater pouring down hehe or might be I am only having the winter vibes. Welcome to the Dreemport. !LUV

This is breathtakingly beautiful!!!

When the pictures were loading - I scrolled down too fast - and it looked like the waterfall was moving! hahahaha

I kept scrolling back up to see if there was a GIF that I missed- and then I realized it was because I scrolled while the waterfall picture was loading!

I agree - sometimes they make the fees for these beautiful places in nature so outrageous! I aappreciate that they use the money to build up the location with amenities, but I wonder if they are just robbing people !!

thank you for sharing these gorgeous shots! I feel like it's time for me to go visit some of the local places around here that are nature in all its beauty! hehehe
