Hello Hello Hivians
It is 5.22am as I start to write this post. It is the sixth of november and the morning after remember remember the 5th of November which of course in the UK is Guy Fawkes night.
This is where we celebrate failure it feels like where we celebrate / remember the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when Guy Fawkes and fellow Catholic conspirators attempted to blow up Parliament and assassinate James I of England.
The affront of those pesky catholics really!
There we go terrorism in the name of religion 400 years ago some things never change!
I digress, it is now 5.30am and it is pitch black outside.
Rewind 12 hours and let's go!
We are in the Kingdom of Fife on the East coast of Scotland in the Northern Hemisphere.
This walk is from last week.
The photos are taken by that silohuette you see over two days.
Train 🚆 🚂
We walk close to a train track which is pretty busy but I never seem to catch trains going a bridge for example this one!
Yeah I do have summer shots of a train over the bridge.
As it is opposite one of the entrances to the park which does have a bench, so you can sit in the sun and take that picture.
The sun ah yes vitamin D something we lack in the winter.
This picture coming up shows you the difference a day makes at this time of year!
Our clocks went back a couple of weeks ago. It is a bizarre concept for some people to grasp.
I know when Iived on the equator in Africa, it got light and it got dark at the same time every day.
That took some getting used to!
Here in the summer it is often light in the north of Scotland, and conversely in the height of winter it is dark most of the day.
Aye, the nights are fair drawing in
This is a common phrase in the UK, in Scotland we could replace nights with nichts!
The nights are fair drawing in is a an idiom here in the UK that means it's getting dark earlier in the evening as autumn or winter approaches.
And yes we are in autumn or falls as the fallen leaves indicate.
This walk is something I do Monday- Thursday and I leave the house at 4.55pm to go meet Mrs T at the busstop on her way home from work.
Often in the summer I walk there and we come back via the park, and it often depends on the weather as to whether do that now.
This was another example of the darker daylight between two different days as this is the same bungalow and was actually listed for sale a couple of weeks.
Mrs T is wanting to go look. Me not so much!
This roundabout is a bit of a boundary as to the left is towards town and to the right is heading to the countryside and this is like a city centre boundary!
I let these two pups go past before I took their pic. Both are greyhounds and from a rescue centre. The one on the left is younger and can be a bit scared if you look him in the eye. So today I had a chat with their owner but kept the phone camera away from him.
Terminus
We don't really say that anymore but I remember as kid we would say bus terminus for the station!
Talking of houses this one is for sale too.
However it was dismissed for being too much money for too little house. I mean where would my staff sleep!
I like it though as it is right beside the bus stop and a mini supermarket, although their prices are more expensive than the main supermarkets. I also think this is a fluffing con.
Oops there is the bus.
Then the walk back home retracing my steps.
I was told to stop and take this picture of the gate lodge through the trees. It had recently been renovated.
This is it and it is now being used as a children's nursery which is a great thing that it is actually being used!
I was also testing out my new Pixel 9 Pro XL phone as it has a night setting.
It does make things brighter without flashing I have to give it that!
You can also tell autumn is well underway as the trees are losing their clothes and starting to look naked!
There are three entrances to the park that we pass going this way home.
This was the entrance where I can sit and wait enjoy the sun and take train shots over the bridge.
The bridge is on an S curve and some eejits fly round it!
Have you seen Day Of The Jackal, I remember reading the book fluffing years ago!
We are just about home now.
It looks like the local team Raith Rovers are playing at home tonight in a couple of hours!
So all that was left for me to cook dinner!
A tasty cheeseburger as on #wednesdaysweeatmeat!
This is also a post to participate in the #wednesdaywalk initiative from the wonderful @tattoodjay
Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day!
All images and ramblings are from me, the mad Scotsman TengoLoTodo and pictures were taken with my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL smartphone.

Great job Ed, I see your burger is Burger White Paper compliant. I have seen the film and read the book Day of the Jackal, probably one of the best books in this genre I have ever read.
I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project! Check out our Reading Suggestions posts!

Thanks Steve.
Frederick Forsyth and his The Day of the Jackal is one of the first political thriller type novels I read. This is a new series that has come on Sky, I have not seen it yet.
I didn't see the new series, just the original film.
Ah yes I saw the film too, this is a series made this year.
I am getting to know more of Scotland over here thanks to Mr Tengo. Nice shots compilation.
Do well not not to reveal the tree nakedness too much; privacy purpose, Lols. Have a great day.
hehe privacy purposes, hopefully this year we get a bit of snow I like it when the naked trees are covered in snow!
I always found Guy Fawkes a bit of a strange celebration, and not sure why it even made it to down under in NZ
that Burger looks so good my stomach is rumbling now
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day
Thanks Jay
So you guys celebrated Guy Fawkes too, or maybe an excuse for fireworks and a party?
I think it was more the second part LOL
Nice to walk in this kind of weather. Bring some chips while enjoying your walk😁.
I prefer daylight and sunshine, but yes good to get out walking.
Now British chips like on my plate of food or American chips out of a packet?
Here in our place, it's already dark at 5pm even when there's no autumn or winter hehe..
I will miss the autumn foliage...
you dinner looks yummy but I won't be satisfied without rice haha
!PIZZA
Always dark at 5pm? Oh boy that is dark, well at least you get sun.
Rice with every meal you eat then Jane, even a burger?
I had someone say that to me the other day about the 5th of November. I had no clue what they were talking about.
hehe ah yeah Guy Fawkes, used to be a way bigger celebration than Halloween when I was a kid. We would go guysing and make a guy figure and wheel in a wheelbarrow and go round houses knocking on doors saying penny for a guy etc.
Haha, that is pretty crazy! I'd guess the only thing we have close to that is Independence day and we mostly just try not to blow our appendages off!
