Wednesday Walk A few shorts from different walks this past week

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)

Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

For this weeks post, I decided instead of focusing on one walk I would share a couple of shots from a few of the walks I have taken in the last week, mainly because I couldn't pick which one to share and have many photos from each spot I just decided to pick a few at random to edit for this post.

I start with a walk in Ned's Point in Mattapoisett, a place I have been before so you have probably seen this lighthouse before, but i pop back there every few months in the hope of catching a nice sunrise

While in the area I stopped by a little park, to catch a few shots of this big Seahorse I have driven y so many times and always meant to stop and get some photos, at some stage I will share a post with hopefully better photos of it

Another spot I walked real often last year but haven't been to as much this year, is on the Harbor Walk, or inthe case of this image the pier at the end of walk on a day we had an interesting sunrise

And this was as I walked along the East Beach between the Harbor Walk and Fort Tabor

As I said above I just picked a few random images from the walks for this post, when I get around to going through the rest of the photos, ther emay well be full posts in each of these spots

I think this was taken on East beach as well looking over the water to the Wind Turbines in Fairhaven

NOw I was planning to only share photos taken with my wider lens when I initially started deciding on photos for this post, but then changed my mind for the last and next photo, as often this week after a sunrise walk, I switched to my bigger lens and walked some more looking out for birds
I was focusing on the White heron flying by and happened to get this image with one on the shore out of focus, which same may not like but I kind of like it

this was one of the rare morning walks when I saw a few people out and about taking photos or videos including a couple of people who had a Gopro in one case and a phone in another on a tripod recording a Time Lapse

The funny thing about the visit to Westport Beach is I had been planning to visit Gooseberry Island which you may be able to faintly see in the middle of this next photo taken n Westport Beach.

But when I got to the Causeway out to the Island I found it closed with Gates and doesn't open till 8, maybe another day I may go visit there

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

To be honest, before I read your article, I scrolled down to the bottom to glance at the images. And so I thought... where the heck were these places? So it was a collection of shots from your walks last week.

I'd say you take pretty good shots. And for you to be able to acquire these many images, you must be someone who really loves outdoor activities. Well I can't blame you since if I were you, I would never want to miss these blissful imagery of nature.

Great sunset shots, the colors are looking superb. I definitely love the picture with the herons, its challenging capturing birds in flight so that's a great photo. As always thank you for sharing and keep enjoying the early morning walks :}

Ned's Point in Mattapoisett!! What a postcard-worthy shot! Make up some postcards and sell them to souvenir shops. It is gorgeous!

You have so many stunning shots, I could call them all out, but, here are a few of my absolute favorites! The Pier on the Harbor Walk, the Turbines, The Hurrican Barrier, and the Heron!!

They are so vivid and tell a story, individually and together. I would have a hard time choosing them!
