Depending on what you prefer, Amsterdam is enjoyed most during the week and/or during low season. That is, when you don't want to experience the city overcrowded by tourists. Good for you that you had the opportunity to experience Amsterdam in sections and didn't have to take into account a small window of time to do everything you wanted to.

Thank you. I was really lucky to experience the city without being limited by time
