The trees by the lake created a nice depth of field with all the fog.The fog was thick for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
It had rained all night so the lake was nice and full with a glassy reflection.
I was hoping to see the cormorant sitting on the stones here but it must have moved on to warmer climates.
Some areas of the lake remind me of old oil paintings with so much fog reducing clarity.
I wonder how one would go about creating an oil painting of this drab landscape?
This composition would need some sort of splash of color to make it successful as a painting. Maybe a red cardinal perching in the foreground on the reeds would look nice.
The rose hips are nice and red for a splash of color. The few birds that are still left here are picking halfheartedly at these while they migrate to warmer climates.
This time around I brought my wide angle lens with me so this squirrel looks very far away from the lens but this is just a branch a couple of feet above my head. The squirrel was comfortable gnawing on a large walnut while I tried to crane the camera as close to it as possible.
Now I've nearly rounded the lake and have to head back home.
On my way home I spotted my neighbor's holiday themed crows. This time they are decked out for Christmas. I wonder what they will look like for New Year's eve.
That's all for now, snow photos coming soon...
This is a pleasant walk!
Nice and quiet too, no one wanted to walk out in the fog with me lol.
Great photos, especially since I love foggy days 🥰
It creates a nice mystical environment.
Just that 🤗
The fog gives a mystical feel and I love those reflections
that crow is cool, I wonder if they will change it up for new years
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
I'll keep an eye on the crow, they have to figure out how to integrate a party whistle and a disco ball with it somehow.
Lol that would be brilliant with a whistle and disco ball chuckling at the idea of it

Oh yeah I caught the omicron but it was easy to get over.
I can understand all that my friend, I hope you are always healthy, and always have a nice day
I must not have had enough reishi mushrooms
Very cool photos of the water reflection! Love the crow...
The lake is so mirror like after a lot of rain.
Such a beautiful sight to behold, lovely photos.
the fog seems to make the site a more serene environment.
Sound also seems to get quieter, maybe the fog absorbs ambient noise.
Nice and foggy! Anything could have dropped down from the sky!
That's probably when the UFOs do a low flight over the earth.
Wow! I hope you’ll catch them with your camera one day!!
Then they will shoot my camera with an EMP to erase the data.
I don't see these landscapes as being dull at all. I find scapes in the fog like this to be so mystical and filled with enchantment. Beautiful photographs. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎
