We did our trek to the grassfed farm for some eggs, meat and milk for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
This place is great for everything grassfed. My daughter really likes the milk from the diary here.
They also have a large walking path around the entire farm, perfect for getting extra energy out of the kid so she can sleep at night.
We got to see a few baby calves. They were almost tame enough to pet but these cows are a bit more dodgy since they get to free roam in the large grass fields.
Moooo I need to be milked! Sadly no horses are on this farm to herd them back to the milking barn, instead they are herded by ATVs.
I wish we had come here when it was peak colors. Now everything is a bit drab and surreal.
There wasn't much to see on the walk so I started looking at stuff in the sky.
Here's a smaller plane, maybe for crop dusting? Or it could just be someone getting their license.
The only other thing in the sky was a great blue heron.
The farm also has quite a few of these chicken huts that they move around the grassy areas.
We bought some eggs and a frozen chicken from here. Sometimes there are tours where they let the chickens out and you can walk amongst them. So far we've never been able to schedule our visit when this is happening.
Instead we got to see them herding turkeys to a new grassy spot. More on this for #featheredfriday. Poor turkeys don't realize thanksgiving is fast approaching lol.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
Thanks again @scroogergotchiheroes.com :-)
haha Yes, I know all about this ; )
Way more mitochondria in her cells than me lol. Now shes in the running phase.
😂😂😂 Your comment about the turkeys reminds me of that one cartoon movie about turkeys and Thanksgiving. I think it's angry birds or something.
I enjoyed your pictures, the cows look so cute and your baby girl is even more adorable. You're smart to let her spend her energy on walking so you can have a smooth night.
Have a nice one!
I wonder if any of the turkeys managed to escape lol. The farmers were having a bit of a difficult time keeping them herded with the fences even though they had food placed at the center to distract them.
Turkeys can be wild, I've had one chase me back in the day😅
Haha they can be mean too, I do see lots of wild ones out in the forest when I go mushroom hunting.
Aawww the baby cows 🐮 are so cute…
Good she had a decent walk around there 😉 they sleep better indeed.
Beautiful captures 😎
Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful day!
It was a good year for the cows, tons of extra grass grew this year. They had quite a few calves this year. The chickens love the grass too, I wish I would have taken a photo of the free roaming rooster walking around the store.
That's good… lots of grass will result in happy cows 😎
Maybe next time 🐓
Enjoy your day!
I'm sure each one is already reserved.
😍 baby cows 😍
Your little daughter is lucky to have milk from here. When my son was small we also used to buy milk from a local place, a family who had cows and used to sell a few litres to acquaintances.
It is quite popular and you have to reserve it online before getting there. But she loves it, and we get to see cute cows at the same time.
Everything about this blog feels so wholesome. The pictures look great too. Have a great day my friend ❤️
Very cool to have this type of farm so close and it's one you can visit.
