I had to buy a cabinet.
I bought two cabinets and placed them side by side.
I had to buy two side-by-side to house all the liquor.
Well, it is not much, really.
It started with one bottle, and it ballooned to several bottles.
No, I am not an alcoholic!
Not a single bottle is fully consumed.
And I only take sips each time.
And mostly with my sorority sisters.
And every time we got-together, we took little sips.
I bought a bottle to sample, every time my sorority sisters came to visit.
Sometimes we tried two or three bottles, max.
But we only took sips of it!
But soon, the bottles were overwhelming their original space!
The bottles began to look like a collection.
Each bottle stood like a memory of times spent together.
Some were chosen for their fancy labels, others just for curiosity.
The unopened ones became decorations more than drinks.
My sisters teased me for being a collector more than a drinker.
I laughed because they were right!
The cabinet wasn't just holding liquor. They were stories. Each bottle held a moment, every glass, a laugh! It was not indulgence, it is tradition. And somehow, the side-by-side cabinet is a monument to friendship itself.
Hmmm... there's more space in there!

I come across a few cabinet systems at the Thrift shops but often appear to be of light construction and not very sturdy. Having Stacked for ten+ years, a few of them are rather heavy in silver. One day, the ideal cabinet may show up.

Trader Joe's Scotch is affordable for sure and is an okay (uhm...better than okay since you're asking me) alternative. We use it for cocktails, as it is less intense!
