A Wednesday Walk in the Dark

My #wednesdaywalk share, as inspired by @tattoodjay.

November clouds have been dominate for most of the month. Day or night, grey clouds loom above, making most walks feel lifeless without the sun or stars above. Still, with the new job and change in schedule, I still aim to get my 10,000 steps in a day…and this walk allowed me to get there.

I’ve been walking to the local marsh at night once our daughter gets to bed. I typically catch up on Youtube videos or even do some photo editing on the couch, but i’ve changed it up a bit to get some exercise in at night. I don’t know how long I’ll keep it up once the winter arrives, but I’ll keep on pushing as long as I can.

With night and the lack of light around, I decided to take some photos with my Pixel’s “night mode” camera to capture the essence of a typical, starless night. November trees stand in contrast to clouds above, and if anything were to say “winter is coming” it would be these trees.

t wasn’t too long ago these trees were barely green, then really green, then fading, and then finally red, orange, yellow and green…the marsh being my metric for the circle of the Sun. Now they stand like giant, hibernating forms of life, waiting for spring to return. I kind of feel special being here to see these type of moments…especially near my beloved, hometown marsh.
