If you asked me about any significant places I have visited in my hometown, this palace would be at the top of my list.
Tajhat Jomidar Bari, aka the Landlord's house of Tajhat, is located in Rangpur, Bangladesh. On a winter afternoon, we decided to visit for a short time. The walk went pretty well. The weather was nice and warm, and the garden and the palace's pond felt welcoming.
Let me share more.
Our visit starts by entering this beautiful gate. This is the entryway of the garden, we had to walk 15 minutes to go to the front yard of the palace.
We walked slowly while enjoying the afterglow of the sun. It was about to be evening, the palace will be closed in an hour. But we couldn't rush to go with the coming beauty of the place.
The garden has some beautiful touches, some are funny too, but they attract the kids. They were beds, tables, tea cups, and whatnot! There is a beautiful flower garden beside this decorative one.
I have shared some flower photos of the place in another post. You can look it up Here.
This pond is one of the major attractions of the place. During the rainy season, it gets full, with hundreds of lotus and water lilies. Now it looks empty but as you can see my son was super excited seeing the pond. He collected some stones to throw into the water.
The small area with rides became the kid's attraction. We walked around the garden and the palace while my son was playing there.
Don't worry, this place is very safe and I didn't worry much about leaving him there. Because there were guards everywhere, who were looking after the garden and the children as well.
This is the inside of the palace. I will share more photos in another post.
The palace is an architectural marvel because of its white marble work, fountains, and significant staircases. There's a museum inside the palace as well but they do not allow any photography of the artifacts.
The place is Insta aesthetic, so you will see a lot of visits taking photos here and there and some even bought their photographer to do professional shoots.
I loved sitting inside the garden surrounded by thousands of flowers and walking on the aisle in between. It was a memorable walk that I will cherish for a long time.
It's indeed a place to worthy to visit. I like to visit such a place whenever I get the chance. It remind me about a similar place where I visited several years ago.
