COVID-19 chronicles (wednesday walk at St.Petersburg)

in Wednesday Walk5 years ago

the post to go with #wednesdaywalk fun challenge hold by @tattoodjay.
its my first w-day walk on Hive. I discovered a group dedicated to the challenge, so I put my post straight forward!

also, I found myself inspired by @johannpiber's example -- downloaded the Hive logo and played with it a bit in Photoshop; I think this is probably the first time I put watermarks on my photos that I share on this blockchain.

decay, decay. even metal statues fall to pieces.

the seagulls placed themselves on the ice of the pond like at some private-members-only-elitist-club, even 30mm didnt deliver any intresting results

but, eventually, I have captured some fun by the tail.. after all, it was a birding hunt with tele. when I walked across the pond, on the other side there was a little company, like 5-6 seagulls, and a few ducks, close enough to the shore, and I happily harvested some secret bird life' shots. (I already shared them in Feathered Friends community).

I also found some last-year-mushrooms, that survived thru the winter

During the walk I had a packet full of fresh googlyeyes, that I just received that morning. (Ordered them back in december, and waited !!OJ"KH:LG:OUTG three months them to arrive!). Its always a special pleasure to nail more then one challenge during one walk or post, you know. And we also met a nice kitty later (quite eligible for the Caturday, hehe).

So, we met this wonderful creature. (And there were a few more. I can hardly restrain myself from sharing them right now, but that would not be a right thing to do. I will share them in the proper community later). After taking the pics, I decided to leave the owl at the place, and didnt send the eyes back to the pocket. Maybe some other fragile souls will meet it, and this sight will convert them to neophytes. who knows, not me.

oh, and the kitty. as you can see, she's well-protected from the frost with a great thick grey coat - looking good!

so, Wednesday was not in vain!

now the last one, but not the least: one more pic to make smile @elizacheng - yes, this is +1 challenge to nail, which is super cool, the #makemesmile challenge -- I bet you cannot stop a little smile looking at this poor fella!

@tattoodjay,
did you see some more of my city's covid chronicles?..
at least I didnt focus on the dark side :P

other question what I wanted to ask you.
recently I've discovered a way to add some artwork elements to community's page (you may look here https://beta.peakd.com/c/hive-166168 - basically, its a scalable background, and a userpic. and I am thinking to ask at steempeak discord about the badges thing... really intrested in this feature.) so. do you know-how and do you plan to design your community?.. I can help, if you need it.

Not sure how I missed that such a cool walk and thanks again for joining the Wednesday Walk :)

maybe thats me to blame, I posted it straightforward to the community and didnt attach the proper tag. (which option is preferrable?..) or I should use both tag and community - but that is less rewarding ;)
