Hi everybody!
I like to walk. Despite the fact that I like nature, I feel uncomfortable in the forest - I walk and think that you can get lost or meet a wild animal. Therefore, I feel more comfortable in the city than in nature. I get a lot of pleasure from walking on new urban routes.
Sometimes I get off at any metro station and go aimlessly.
Today I want to tell you about one such walk in Moscow.
I got off the metro on Chistoprudny Boulevard, and from there my route began.
The first thing I noticed was the former apartment building of the Rossiya insurance company. This is one of the most beautiful buildings in Moscow, built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries in the eclectic style:
At the end of Sretensky Boulevard I took this shot - a monument to N. Krupskaya and the Assumption Church of the 17th century:
From the Boulevard Ring, I turned onto the street Bolshaya Lubyanka and looked into the Sretensky Monastery. I like him very much! Now it is large and crowded, and at the time of our acquaintance with it, it was a corner of peace and quiet in a noisy city:
This is a new monastery cathedral, built a few years ago:
And I like the small Sretenskaya Church, built in the 17th century:
The monastery has a very well-groomed territory and there roses bloom there until frost:
After visiting the monastery, I went to the city center. I passed by the Bolshoi Theater, which, I think, needs no introduction:
I did not take pictures in the city center. Red Square, the Kremlin, St. Basil's Cathedral, Alexander Garden - these are the advertised sights of Moscow. I think everyone who is fond of tourism knows them.
I'm moving on...
I could not pass by this beauty on Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street:
A fragment of stucco is a little closer. I think she is very cute.
I myself did not understand how I ended up on Sivtsev Vrazhek. This street is interesting for its inhabitants.
For example, the song "Moscow Nights" was written in this house:
A memorial plaque on the wall of the house informs passers-by of this fact:
And the artist Mikhail Nesterov lived and worked in this house. I really like his paintings:
At different times, writers Leo Tolstoy, Marina Tsvetaeva, Mikhail Sholokhov, sculptor Vuchetich and other famous cultural figures lived on Sivtsevo Vrazhek.
Money lane and another house with a richly decorated facade:
The building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which I could not fit into the frame:
Moscow River and Government House:
Kutuzovsky Prospekt and business center "Moscow-City":
This is where my walk ended. As a result, walk from the Chistye Prudy metro station, through the center, to the Kievskaya metro station. It turned out a little more than 15 kilometers:
Thank you for your attention and curation! Have a good evening!
Thank you!
