Hello fellow Hivians!

I found out recently about a really great Hive community, Wednesday Walk, from one of my Splinterlands guildmates @oceanbee. Essentially the premise is just to get out there, take a walk, and enjoy partaking in some photography.

Well, I decided to take a walk yesterday to partake. While out I found these beautiful trees which are all throughout my city. I wanted to show you all what I'm so blessed to experience each Spring.

These are called Jacarandas and they are the most beautiful shade of violet/purple and just cover the ground with petals. They are really something to see, similar to cherry blossoms when in bloom. The funny thing is of course that they aren't even native to my area. They were deliberately brought in when cities here were being developed. These trees are native to various places in South America and they tend to do best in warmer climates.

Although this next image isn't mine it gives a really nice close up of the flowers which have these gorgeous interior tiger stripes. The only downside really is that they are incredibly sticky and can cause car paint damage if left alone.

Anyways, now that I'm more aware of this newish community, I plan to dive in and share my experiences with each of you.

As a bonus, here is a shot of my pup, Atlas, who joins me for these excursions. He has been on a weight loss journey over the past year and has shown drastic improvement.
