Are you curious about the place mentioned in the title? 😃
As one of the worth-living cities in Vietnam with hundreds of breathtaking sceneries stretching from picturesque rural areas to modern urban sections such as Linh Ung Pagoda, Da Nang Cathedral, Marble Mountain and others, Da Nang seems to be the must-visit destination for each traveler who comes to Vietnam. Apart from well-known beauty spots, it is easy for travelers to go unnoticed by the most charming and amazing street in Danang which is located in the heart of the city, looks quite normal but there are many things to explore - Bach Dang street.
Built many years ago, Bach Dang street in the eyes of visitors seems to be linked between the historical values and modern styles. Visitors can find that French architectures have remained until now such as Champa Graving Museum, Danang General Science Library or Tourane restaurant. Now, this road with the wide sidewalk has been modernized over the years and bristled with countless bars, coffee shops, hotels and restaurants which make it become the most dynamic and major riverside road in the city.
If you want to have a deeper understanding about the hectic pace of the city, the culture and the local’s lifestyle, let take a walk along the street and then you can feel something.
Do you know what people usually do on this walking street?
To be honest, I have never seen the walking street alone, except for two times, Covid pandemic and at noon (feel too hot to walk ^^). I have to say that here is an ideal place for people to come for exercise, running, going fishing, doing meditation, hanging out or just drawing as a homework assignment.
Needless to say, for most of the local residents, myself included, going for a walk along Bach Dang street is exactly a favorite and exciting activity to unwind and improve health. I try to spend at least 30 minutes per day walking as a good way of lifting my spirits up as well as taking a breath of the fresh air after putting in a hard day at work.
From 4pm everyday, you can find that groups of the elderly playing chess on the walkside are manyfold. Can you guess who wins in the photo below? It is hard, isn’t it? This chess tournament only ends till dark when they can’t see things clearly and it is definitely appealing enough to attract so many people standing around to watch, even the young, so interesting.
Fishing is also another regular leisure activity for the elderly here. They always look really persistent and chilling out, even though I don’t know whether there are any fish catched.
When it comes to the features on the walking street, you can’t miss out on the beautiful sculptures in many sizes placed on the road. I think that to understand the underlying meaning, shape and emotion of each may take some time. The two below are examples and now try to guess what each one means by your own.
Besides, from this road, you also see famous bridges in Danang such as Dragon bridge, Han River bridge, Thuan Phuoc bridge, or Tran Thi Ly bridge appearing beautifully and lively. Watching Dragon Bridge breathing fire and water at weekend are considered as the must-do activities when coming to Danang.
Let’s say hello to little furry friends.
It’s for sure that they are super cute and there are so many types of dogs that you can see such as Husky, Fox, Poodle or Golden Retriever. Sometimes, several dogs appear on the road without their owner, free running, discovering and smelling anything they see as if the whole road is their own space and do not care about anything else. Perhap, their owners think this road is too safe for their pets to go alone but this partially makes me feel a bit concerned about their safety. Anyway, watching them more seriously is truly a necessity, I assume.
Now do you realize that it’s time to stand up and stretch your body a little bit or immediately think of somewhere that inspires you in doing exercises? Leave me a comment and I will be back another day to bring more interesting things.
Thank you so much for reading my blog !

That's one of my favorite streets too. I think the government did a great job to create a great street like that for citizens to enjoy their life.
