Wednesday walk, Almeria Espan

Hello wednesday walkers,

I will take you on a little stroll trough the city of Almeria Southerner Spain.
I wanted to see a little bit of the area were the spanische people life. Not the city center, not the boulevard or beach, just urban Almeria. And it started out colorful.

There were many house that have little gardens around the houses. I do like that very much. I like the plants in and around houses.
And in the distance I saw this giant cacti.

Look at how massive this is. And its full of flowers. So cool.

And I saw this tree in a street. It's a Japanese Nispero tree. This is my new favorite fruit that I have discovered in Spain last year. Do you know this fruit? Have you ever tested it?

On the way we came across this little church. To bad it was closed because I would have love it to take a look inside.

Next to the church was this green play ground and doggy walk area. I think green in the city's is very necessary. It's so much cooler in green city's.

This is the cable Inglés pier. It's an ancient loading pier that was used in the 20th century to transport iron from the train station to the cargo ships that were docked in the port here in Almeria. A train loaded wit iron ore run op this pier and dumped it all in the boats laying underneath it in the harbor. The pier was used in 1973 for the last time and recently they completely restored it as a touristic attraction.

This is the entry of the pier. to bad we could n walk on it because dogs were not aloud on it.

I love the places where there is that harmony of city with lots of vegetation, among trees and flowers, that certainly creates a feeling of freshness. Greetings !
