Caminata entre las industrias y la montaña 🏭 ⛰️🏃🏻‍♀️ / Walk between industries and the mountains 🏭 ⛰️🏃🏻‍♀️

Saludos hivers, espero que estén muy bien. En abril participé en una caminata que organizó una de las empresas que están en mi ciudad, la misma, como siempre ocurre en este tipo de caminatas formales, estuvo acompañada por la policía municipal y los guardaparques, los primeros, prestaron su apoyo en el tramo que correspondía a la calle y, los guardaparques estuvieron en varios puntos de la montaña cuidando que todos estuviésemos bien.

Hello hivers, I hope you are well. In April I participated in a walk organized by one of the companies that are in my city, as always happens in this type of formal walks, this walk was accompanied by the municipal police and the park rangers, the first, provided their support in the section which corresponded to the street and the park rangers were at various points on the mountain making sure we were all safe.

El punto de encuentro estaba previsto para las 6:30 de la mañana en la entrada del Cerro de La Bandera pero como la ruta pasaba cerca de donde mi hermana y yo vivimos, nos fuimos hasta la esquina donde empieza la zona industrial de la ciudad, y junto a varias personas que también estaban allí esperamos que pasara el grupo para comenzar la caminata. Se supone que empezaría a las 7 AM pero como de costumbre 🤦🏻‍♀️, se atrasaron un poco 🤷🏻‍♀️.

The meeting point was scheduled for 6:30 in the morning at the entrance to Cerro de La Bandera, but since the route passed near where my sister and I live, we went to the corner where the industrial zone of the city begins, and together with several people who were also there we waited for the group to pass by to begin the walk. It was supposed to start at 7 AM but as usual 🤦🏻‍♀️, they were a little late 🤷🏻‍♀️.

El recorrido de esta caminata fue de 8 km, empezamos caminando por la zona industrial hasta llegar a una parte donde tomamos el camino de tierra hacia la montaña. El clima estaba fresco pero el paisaje lucía muy seco porque no había comenzado aún la temporada de lluvia.

The route of this walk was 8 km, we started walking through the industrial area until we reached a part where we took the dirt road towards the mountain. The weather was cool but the landscape looked very dry because the rainy season hadn't yet begun.

La inmensa área que conforma la zona industrial está llena de árboles frutales como mango y aguacate, la mayoría de ellos están dentro de los terrenos de las empresas, aquí un árbol de mango bien cargado 🥭🥭😋 jejeje / The immense area that makes up the industrial zone is full of fruit trees such as mango and avocado, most of them are within the companies' land, here is a well-loaded mango tree 🥭🥭😋 hehehe

La zona industrial de La Victoria era sumamente próspera y constituía una sólida fuente de trabajo para los habitantes del centro del país e incluso de Caracas y el estado Miranda. Había industrias de alimentos, automotriz, construcción, textil, etc, sin embargo algunas políticas desfavorables y la crisis que ha afectando al país en los últimos años hizo que muchas de ellas tuvieran que cerrar sus puertas, la mayoría obligadas por la situación económica y otras por voluntad de sus propietarios.

The industrial zone of La Victoria was extremely prosperous and constituted a solid source of work for the inhabitants of the center of the country and even Caracas and the state of Miranda. There were food, automotive, construction, textile, etc. industries, however some unfavorable policies and the crisis that has affected the country in recent years meant that many of them had to close their doors, most of them forced by the economic situation and others by the will of its owners.

Lo bueno de empezar las caminatas temprano es que aprovechas la frescura de la mañana, lo que ayuda a que este tipo de actividad sea más placentera, especialmente cuando es temporada seca y no hay tanta vegetación que refresque el ambiente.

The good thing about starting walks early is that you take advantage of the freshness of the morning, which helps make this type of activity more pleasant, especially when it's the dry season and there isn't so much vegetation to cool the environment.

Hermosas vistas de la ciudad / Beautiful views of the city

A medida que íbamos subiendo la montaña el paisaje de fondo se hacía más increíble y podíamos apreciar toda la zona industrial y gran parte de la ciudad y las otras montañas que la rodean.

As we went up the mountain the background landscape became more incredible and we could see the entire industrial area and a large part of the city and the other mountains that surround it.

Si bien esta caminata no fue muy larga, siempre es agradable estar entre la naturaleza, rodeada de su silencio y a la vez de sus particulares sonidos, las aves, los insectos y las hojas de los árboles movidas por el viento 🍃. Meditar e intentar estar en el aquí y el ahora es una actividad algo compleja cuando estamos en nuestras casas pero cuando estas en la montaña, el bosque o el mar, se hace increíblemente sencillo no pensar en nada y disfrutar a plenitud del momento 😌🧘🏻‍♀️.

Although this walk wasn't very long, it's always pleasant to be among nature, surrounded by its silence and at the same time by its particular sounds, birds, insects and the leaves of the trees moved by the wind 🍃. Meditating and trying to be in the here and now is a somewhat complex activity when we are at home, but when you are in the mountains, the forest or the sea, it becomes incredibly easy to not think about anything and fully enjoy the moment 😌🧘🏻‍♀️.

El humor venezolano siempre presente 🤭🤭. "Cuidado con los cachos (cuernos)" 😂 / Venezuelan humor always present 🤭🤭. "Be careful with the horns" 😂

Mi hermana y yo tardamos un poquito más de una hora en terminar el recorrido 😎💪🏻, en la meta estaba un grupo de personas que te entregaban un número para participar en la rifa de muchos premios que los organizadores junto a algunos patrocinantes de la caminata iban a entregar. Fueron muchísimos premios, entre ellos, cornetas, termos, franelas, accesorios para autos y motos, un lavamanos de cerámica para el baño y hasta una poceta jajaja, estos dos últimos premios cortesía de
Venceramica, una de las empresas más importantes y con mayor prestigio en el país con más de 60 años de trayectoria.

My sister and I took a little more than an hour to finish the route 😎💪🏻, at the finish line there was a group of people who gave you a number to participate in the raffle for many prizes that the organizers along with some sponsors of the walk they were going to give. There were many prizes, including bugles, thermoses, flannels, accessories for cars and motorcycles, a ceramic sink for the bathroom and even a toilet 🚽 hahaha, these last two prizes courtesy of
Venceramica, one of the most important and most prestigious companies in the country with more than 60 years of trajectory.

En la llegada había una gran mesa con patilla, cambures (bananas) y naranjas para los participantes y para los curiosos también jajaja y una banda tocando famosas canciones de rock en español 🎸🎶. Aunque no tuvimos suerte en la rifa 🤷🏻‍♀️, la pasamos muy bien y todo fue absolutamente gratis jejeje 😃.

At the arrival there was a large table with watermelon, bananas and oranges for the participants and for the curious too hahaha and a band playing famous rock songs in Spanish 🎸🎶. Although we weren't lucky in the raffle 🤷🏻‍♀️, we had a great time and everything was absolutely free hehehe 😃.
