Hey, hey! 💛
How are you spending this beautiful day of autumn? 😊

It's not a surprise anymore that Wednesdays represent a great opportunity for me to have a throwback on the past walks and beautiful days of my life so as much as I can I try to bring my contribution to this community which is also very encouraging to go take a walk even in the middle of the week and not wait for the weekend.

Anyway, the post of today is going to be a little bit more chill than I used you with because I'll show you the most beautiful street in Sibiu.

If you think that this is just a lovely way of calling a very beloved place of mine, then... look at the pictures attached above. I know that these have a Romanian name but if you translate them, you will see that this is what the street is actually called and it's not just a metaphor. 😊

The reason for calling this street as being the most beautiful one from Sibiu is because of the little path that is very rich in history but which nowadays represents the boundary line between past and present, having towers and the remains of the fortress wall on the left and buildings on the right.

It's true that not all these buildings look very well most of them being pretty old too, but some of them adapted to the current times opening up small businesses like a cafe, a terrace, or simply decorating their windowsills with all kinds of things. Hence why you will never see the dolls missing, nor the X-mas decorations even in the middle of the summer, lol.

Still on the left side, you can get to explore the Museum of Natural History or Thalia Philharmonic Hall which I entered only once for a concert held on New Year's Eve a few years ago. I still have to explore the museum and tower.

The front side of the hall was quite busy when we had this walk because there was some event going on in town with concerts, but it's kind of hard to find a day when you will meet this alley empty because there are always held all kind of events or spontaneous concerts or stalls located where you can find souvenirs and other stuff.

Another thing that you will never see missing is represented by the flowers because each geranium or petunia donated by visitors is rewarded with a free ticket to the events organized by Sibiu Philharmonic Hall.

And if you feel like a walk on the most beautiful street of Sibiu is too short, you can always opt for the parallel path which takes you closer to nature but still between the walls of the fortress that are quite imposing no matter what the season is. Over there you can discover Aleea Celebritățiilor which is a Walk of Fame inspired by the famous one from Hollywood.

How does a perfect Wednesday look like for you?

un oraș extraordinar de frumos! Abia aștept sa îl vizitez anul viitor😄❤️

Ce surpriza frumoasa ca primesc un comentariu in romana! 😄
Sunt o multime de locuri faine pe care le poti vedea in Sibiu, iar daca te nimeresti si in in timpul verii e imposibil sa nu ai parte de cateva evenimente unice pentru ca in fiecare zi se organizeaza cate ceva ❤️

mersi pentru recomandare🤗❤️

Very nice place, many historic old building are still solid. Like your post. Thank you.

Yeah, I'm happy to see them being so well-mantained!

Thank you are welcome.

I like the Christmas decors but not the dolls lol! Interesting structures and street. You are walking on history :)

Happy #WednesdayWalk!

Yeah, the dolls are pretty scary haha. Never liked them either but they bring their contribution to the whole view for sure xD

Happy #WednesdayWalk! :)

It looks so pretty there - I love the colours along the street !
!CTP

Oh yeah, the street is full of colour and good vibes even during the cold seasons! I love that too 🥰

the most beautiful street of Sibiu

Pfff... I've seen better... Kidding :)

The street is very colorful and rich in history!

It is for sure :)

The name definitely does justice to what it represents. The facades are beautiful and I especially liked how the red roof of the tower stands out.

Interesting also the contrast you mention with the modern, that car promotion is the best example, but it is normal that this happens when you are looking to boost tourism in such an environment.

I like the creapie dolls hahaha although it is something that surprises you, it gives a touch of mystery that never hurts.

The idea of rewarding with tickets to concerts for the donation of those flowers seems wonderful to me, it's a beautiful incentive and a lovely way to exchange beauty.

I loved this Wednesday walk, you have shown me a lovely place I was unaware of, I hope you continue to enjoy walks this entertaining.

Oh yeah, the name of the street definitely knows how to show that it deserved to be called like that. The car was the main sponsor of that specific event going on but in general Sibiu is a city where you can see quite a few expensive cars going down the streets and these from Mercedes make no exception.

The city has plenty of campaigns similar to that of receiving free tickets in exchange to the flowers donated but very few know about them but they definitely know how to encourage people get involved in more things.

Thank you so much for leaving such a valuable comment and stopping by. I hope you had a great Wednesday! :)
