I was walking with a few visitors the other day, in the historical centre of the town. They were a big family, nine people in total. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, enjoying the sightseeing and the afternoon walk in the narrow streets of the old town.
Except the father of the family, a senior gentleman that was showing signs of discomfort every now and then. I couldn't understand why was that until I heard one of his daughters comforting him!
The poor guy was allergic to cats and our town, as beautiful as it is, it is also full of cats!
Small or big, cuddly or on guard, ready to pick a fight or calling you to pet them, dark or light-coloured, they are all over the place and it is truly impossible to avoid them. Of course most people don't try to avoid them, usually they stop to take pictures or play with them but if you are allergic you don't care how cute they might be, you just want for them to disappear :)
We continued our walk keeping in mind to avoid, at least, the feeding points where was more probable to meet large groups of cats. Hopefully the old buildings, the scenic alleys and the trees and flowers that are growing in every available spot with soil, were enough distractions for the unfortunate allergy to be forgotten!
The camera that I used is a Canon EOS 6D mark II with an EF 24-105mm f4/L zoom lens attached. I edited the photographs in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic
All the pictures and the words are mine.
