Spring is in the city (20pics)

Today I read the promotional news of my favorite restaurant - Today is the new astrological year. Wow! Today is the Day of the Equinox, and the day will already be longer than the night.
That's probably why I started walking around the nearby streets during my lunch break yesterday.
Spring is gaining strength every day, the temperature has been above zero for several days and the Sun is shining. It's a wonderful time to walk. But these walks can be dangerous. It would be best if you looked at your feet so as not to fall and you also need to lift your head because snow and even ice can fall from the roof.

I'm not kidding, friends. In the spring, a pedestrian may be in danger not only on old streets with such roofs, but even in the city center. Just 2 days ago, I read about another incident: a piece of ice fell on a woman from the roof and she was hospitalized. This happens every spring and in almost all Russian cities. Every year, a fallen block of ice from the roof takes a human life.

Yesterday I found out that one of my colleagues broke her leg and is now sitting at home.






Kirov, the regional center. 500 thousand inhabitants. Spring. Of course, I'm not walking around the city center right now, but the snow piles in the center are almost the same. Little snow is taken away from the streets of our city. It is believed that soon he will melt himself. There is a joke that the snow melts and takes the asphalt with it from the streets. That's exactly what it is. In spring, asphalt can quickly collapse due to snowmelt and temperature changes.



I understand that in open areas where there is no road and asphalt, snow only brings trouble to people who live here, and residents of the city are used to living like this and do not pay attention to it.
But why doesn't the snow get out of the way? There are many reasons. The main answer of the officials is no money. And where is the Russian money? Again, there are many answers. Now money is flying in the form of missiles to Ukraine.
I can also say that it is not profitable for officials to have good roads, then they will not need to repair roads every year and officials will not be able to steal money intended for this repair.

Wonderful! This is how a footpath should look like. Apparently, the janitor works very diligently here.

I went out onto a street where there are shops and a lot of people walking. In 2 weeks, if spring continues to develop rapidly, it will become very difficult to walk along this street. There will be water on the sidewalks from melting snow, and it will not leak anywhere. I have been observing this situation on this street for 3 years now. This is Pugachev Street.









I turned back at the intersection from a noisy street to a quiet street with few cars. It's nice to walk along such a footpath. Do you know why, friends? Yellow handrails indicate that blind people walk here and for them, the wipers keep the sidewalk clean.









Another twist. Then there will be a dead end for cars, but for pedestrians, there is a passage that will lead me to my office.

Well, I've practically come to the right place for me. It's winter here. The sun's rays don't get here at all. Here, even in early May, you can find snow that has not melted.
Let me summarize the walk.
I started my street walks during my lunch break. And that's the main thing. My colleagues do not understand these actions of mine.
