Morning Walk. The Feeling Of The Breath Of Winter (9 pics)

I was waiting for this period when the night frosts come, the grass is covered with frost and the first ice appears on the puddles.
I knew that this time would be in early October, but as always, everything happened unexpectedly. The night frosts came to -8 degrees. At night, there are bright stars in the sky, and in the morning, there is a clear blue sky and the Sun.
I took my friend Nora for a walk with her. I haven't walked my dog for almost the whole week because I've been away from home. How happy the dog was that I went for a walk with her. The usual walk is to the river, a little along the beach, and back home. It is about 4 km.

When I was walking towards the river, I was looking for cobwebs on the grass or in the bushes. But there was nothing like that. It should look really cool. But all the spiders have already hidden in anticipation of winter and will sleep until the onset of spring warmth, and now only white flies fly. Did I tell you that we had our first snow?
The dog was running as if someone had stung it in the back, it was also looking for something in the bushes and in the tall grass.

But just a week ago I was still picking these berries to make jam.
I usually buy 6 liters of honey from a neighbor every year, but this year they had problems with honey. The neighbor said that it was a bad winter and a cold start to summer, and several bee colonies died.
In winter, I will drink tea with bitter rowan jam. Exactly what's with bitter, I don't use much sugar when making jam.

This tallest tree in the valley is my kilometer mark. This means there is 1 km behind, and 500 meters to the river. There is not a single leaf, the tree stands naked. It has prepared for the onset of winter.

And here is the ice in the quiet places of the river. Of course, this is not quite real ice yet, but soon there will be thick ice in this place. There is no water in the river this year. More precisely, the water level is very low. And October 15th is already on the calendar, but there is no rain. I don't remember such a dry autumn in our area.

Who likes to run on water? My Nora really likes to run on the water. She had been waiting for this for almost a week.
When the dog came to this place, 2 birds suddenly flew out of the tall grass. I couldn't even identify them, it all happened so fast.



Nora, come to me! It's time for us to go home! I need to get to my computer, I have a remote job today.
