Again memories - my grandma used to make quince compote.
Oh, had it yesterday!
I recall art as a frivolous subject with overly strict teachers who expected perfection from us. Most of the time, we were tasked with bringing something from home to draw; the options were always an apple, a pear, or a jug with some dried flower inside.
But I'm more curious about the scent of oranges as they ripen: do they smell, do they smell?:D
I'm still amazed at how well-balanced and clean everything is.
I didn't have it for years... decades maybe!!
You understand me, as you know the system. I think I got already frustrated with this subject when I forgot to take to school the drawing I had to finish (or do entirely) at home and I got insufficient (1) because of that. And it was still in the first or second year of our 8 years of primary school ( and still remember the sad feeling) What a nice punishment...
Oh, the orange flowers smell very very well. When you find yourself in the middle of an orange groove you can think you are in heaven hahaha. Seriously, it has a great scent, I like it a lot. (it blooms in March, April)
It seems to me that those two subjects (music and painting) are greatly underestimated in primary education, very often the reasons for such behavior of teachers towards children are precisely for this reason.
But I loved my music teacher back then.
No doubt that I would stuck my nose like Ferdinand everywhere around there, adoring orange scent.
