I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I am both deeply grateful for, and frustrated by, GaiaYoga Gardens, and this has been my experience for my entire 5.5 years of living here. I've always been equally 'this is beautiful!', and 'what the fuck!', so intense are the contrasts present here. Sometimes the challenges of living here can get more than a little ridiculous and over the top, yet even with the notable obstacles, this place meets several very significant needs and requirements, and I've experienced the greatest level of freedom, self-determination, autonomy, and sovereighty, here than I have anywhere else that I've lived, so I stay. It's not ideal, and it's not easy, but I make it work.
The biggest present issue is time, or a lack thereof, to do everything that I need and want, both here in this jungle community, as well as here on Hive, though Hive always gets priority focus. Living in an intentional community has many wonderful things about it, and it also often pulls my attention away from my own important tasks, like my plants, the gardens, and my nursery. The gardens and my nursery are now at critical levels in their need for my care, and yet, because of the other things that I need to do here every day as a part of living in this community, especially when there are fewer people to do things, like milking the cow, collecting cow-milking food, doing the dry-goods order in Tutu's, maintaining the coco bar, among others, it's just not been happening, which is deeply frustrating to me, because my plants are very important to me.
As much as I love Daisy, and I'm happy to help with the milking process, it's not a passion of mine, and as such it's taking time away from the areas where I need it. Aligning my time, energy, focus, and what I do every day, with what is most meaningful, fulfilling, fun, and with that which brings me most alive, is absolutely essential to me, and seemingly more so with each passing day. This growing necessity of aligning my daily activities with my passions and greater purpose makes the areas where I'm not stand out all the more, like bright, red flashing lights and alarm sirens. A reconfiguration and shift are needed, and they're coming.
Hive, and the sessions that offer women, are both going exceedingly well, for which I'm incredibly grateful. Other than those two passions, however, not much else is flowing or working very well at all as of late. That needs to change, and fast. I need to orient my time toward my own things, what I am wanting and working to create, and not toward activities and tasks which drain my energy and time.
I feel potent swirling energies of transformation in the air, both for my life here at GaiaYoga, and for all of humanity and the world, and they're ramping up constantly, so I know that big changes are incoming very soon. Those transformations, on a personal level, are what are required for me to be able to successfully achieve my four 2025 Life Goals (at the bottom of this post), which I intend to do. 2025 is going to be a glorious year, and boy am I'm ready for it!
Yesterday, Tuesday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, around 2PM, focusing on photography for these posts first. With that mostly done (I usually take a few other shots throughout the day), I went to do the dry-goods order in Tutu's, and I helped Braja with a few tasks at her place. Once I finished those, I took a short token-management break up at the Flow House, and then I got my machete and collected a wheelbarrow full of assorted edible foliage for cow-milking food. When work was done, I made myself some food (ground beef, an egg, onions, tomatoes, spicy salsa, and sea salt) in the Landing, and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hand, I headed back to the Flow House, to dive into my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I finished by around 11PM, and after some token management, I went to bed, a bit too late, around 12:45AM. I woke up a little later than usual, around 8:30AM, starting with more token management, beginning on this post, and then getting out of bed to go make my superfood fire coffee, and to milk Daisy with Jo. As soon as milking was done, I returned to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just after 1:15PM, so a marvelous time to end this post, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to first give some to more photography for these posts, and then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's edition of this post! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
