Alive & Thriving New Year Midweek : Hello 2025 || AATYr5 || Prompt A Day 😊

Happy New Year to one and all 🎉 This is it.. it's 2025! 😱 Ready or not, here it comes. First day of the year, I begged myself to sleep more, and I did. 😆 Just for today, I got up past eight in the morning. Thankfully, the kitties all cooperated and none even tried to wake me up. 🙌

New year's eve dinner -- pork asado and sangria. 😋 There was a time when I settled for less asado during this time of the year. Not this time. I think I really missed it so a kilo was enough for two days worth of meals. I'd admit it's pretty costly, but I'd say it's worth it. I even got to share some with the indoor kitties. 😅 I think I'll credit my sangria for my good night's sleep. Even with the addition of Sprite, it does taste pretty strong. 🍷

First day of my year was pretty productive. However, I failed to make the printer work. I've done troubleshooting and even refilled the ink. It would print but without ink. I'm stumped. 😒 Time for plan B. I think I'd need to write down the postcard addresses instead.

Speaking of postcards, I celebrate my tenth anniversary of joining Postcrossing. 🙌 It has been continuous except for the plandemic years. 😒 Those were really dark times. May it never happen again in my lifetime. I have to work on 28 postcards this batch, so I better focus on completing them for sending out soonest.

I totally agree with the above quote. A part of me likes welcoming the new year for the same reason. I know that the crossing of the year is simply another day. Mostly, I do the same things anyway. Yet it must be the January air that brings in this feeling of something fresh, something new. It's like a reset of any bad habits and practices of the previous year. The best part is it's like a ghost town where I am on this January day. In the morning, the only noise I could hear was the whirring of my electric fan. 😌 Alas, peace -- something I wish for more during regular days. 😆 🙏❤️💡

It's a new month. 🙌 Too early for my countdown. There will be time for that later on in the month. 😅 I have moved my ALIVE tokens staking day to Friday. That way I can track that together with my LL coop earnings. It's good to organize tasks together.
