My First Alive Post & City at Night

in We Are Alive Tribe3 years ago (edited)

I think that I just wanted to say that I am alive! So, it's not going to be some grandiose post with lots of smart words, abundance of information, tips, tricks or whatsoever similar.

Besides that, for quite some time I'm "lurking" at "We Are Alive" (another Hive mirroring, social and blogging platform with its own token called ALIVE), and I wanted to try it.

As well, I recently got/accumulated 0.060 Alive tokens which I wouldn't have if there isn't @thisisawesome and his "Awesome" project to which I delegated the smallest possible amount of just one (1) Hive to test the waters.

Without that my We Are Alive wallet would still be fully filled with zeros!

Today, I also realized that "We Are Alive Tribe" members won't benefit much from me with those 0.060 ALIVE tokens in my Alive Power. Therefore, I decided to buy a couple of Alive tokens more. Not much (only 20 tokens), as I couldn't afford more if I don't want to mess my other (Hive & crypto) plans.

City at Night

Just ten days ago our city was somewhat still in Christmas/New Year's decoration or at least when it comes to light decorations.

Zagreb's Main Square at Night - Manduševac Fountain

Yesterday evening, I was again on our main square, experimenting with night shots, and the Christmas decoration wasn't there anymore.

Zagreb's Main Square at Night

The square appeared quite empty to me although it wasn't that late in the evening. Still, seems like there was enough distractions for my dog who wasn't very patient to pose. Although, I managed to catch the following photo.

European square, just around the corner wasn't very crowded either. Despite those bluish and glittering advertisements, and shop windows it radiated with some warm and more intimate atmosphere.

I hope you enjoyed my little night walk!?! 😊

Cool photos. Nice of you to get a real dog instead of those little annoying creatures that my neighbours like. They're an absolute terror to the ears and brain. 😖

At least those big ones know how to behave.

Thanks! Yeah, we always liked the big or at least bigger dogs. When the discussion was going on about taking this one, and while we still didn't know which one is going to be, my husband said, "I just don't want one of those that go on batteries!" 😁 (Meaning, the small ones that are often nervous and barking constantly more or less for nothing.)

You have a very lovely dog, @ana-maria!

Thank you! - Yeah, she is really special! 😊 - I'll have to write a post about her, how she arrived at our home, etc. It's quite an interesting and funny story.

Nice photographs of the City square Ana.
Though I am not a fan of big dogs, but I love to see them from far. I can only manage with small ones...hehehe

Thank you very much, @nainaztengra!
And you know what!?! - If you would have a chance to meet her (my dog) in person, I'm sure you would love her and become best friends despite her size.
A friend of mine who hates dogs of any kind (I don't know why, as I don't think it's only fear in question) was unrecognizable after a couple of hours in her presence.

The thing was, that my friend and I should meet for a coffee and a portion of chat. I brought my Bella (that's my dog's name) although I knew I'm risking she might turn around and go home. But, on the other hand, as we didn't meet for a long time there is also a big chance my friend would like to stay somehow trying to overcome her dog aversion.

However, although my friend started grumbling at first, in the end, we set at the terrace of the coffee shop, and my Bella lay down close to my chair, remaining calm and silent for the following more than two hours. Then, over a sudden, my friend asked me what do I think she (the dog) might do if she tries to pet her. So, I told Bella to stand up and thought my friend how to start approaching her.

The whole story ended up that at parting time, my friend was not only petting her but even playing and hugging her, constantly repeating, "I don't believe this! I can't recognize myself!" Then she even asked me to take a picture of two of them which I did. My friend said, "Now, I'm going to post this photo on my FB profile page! Nobody is going to believe that's actually me! They all know how I am when dogs are in question!"

All in all, Bella is really a special dog with healing abilities. She is very calm, very friendly, very playful, and she rarely barks. She just doesn't like drunks and drug addicts, and she would bark on them, as well as on those that might not have so good intentions. Then she would be protective. About two weeks ago, I had an incident when some men tried to approach me on the street in a strange way. I didn't even notice him at first as he was approaching me from the back, but Bella did, and then she started to bark very strongly and was protective, so the man pulled back and after a short while when he realized that she is serious, walked away.

In contrary to this unusual and awkward situation with that strange man on the street, she is a very good friend with our postman and adored by whole tenants of our building. 😊

It's good to have you alive and also see you make your first post in the Alive community.

You're welcome

It's been quite some time since I was in Zagreb. Beautiful city!

Yeah, besides all the other life obstacles this virus closed us up even more, so going anywhere become a difficult decision.

Yay! 🤗
