Hamburger short cut

In my experience, I've yet to have a successful campaign when it comes to making perfect hamburgers. So many little rules, and getting them to be the same size as the buns you buy for them never seems to work out well for me, they shrink, they get taller, add bread crumbs, don't add bread crumbs, add eggs, don't add eggs. Don't press them down because you'll lose all the juices, but don't let them get too tall or you'll make hockey pucks.

So, I starting doing, meatloaf burgers, always most, cheese is build in already, they do kind of lack that grill flavor, but they can save allot of work for a person that doesn't have allot of time to work with. Just make meatloaf, slice to size, and put them onto a made up burger bun.

Anyone here good at homemade burger patties? Got some tips for me? :) Please leave in the comments, thanks :)
