Hi I wanted family from the hive.
I bring you some information about this beautiful silver I found in a beautiful garden.
This lush climbing plant is native to the southeastern United States and its scientific name is 'Bignonia capreolata'. It is a plant that tolerates very well different climatic and edafi conditions. So we can grow it on almost any terrain and location. If we have the garden near the beach this climber will be a great option to keep in mind because it withstands very well the sea breeze loaded with moisture and salt.
It also withstands drought and low temperatures up to -12oC, provided that the ground is not very watered. When we plant it we must take into account that the terrain must have a good drainage, the orientation is sunny and that it has enough humus. Although a partial shade arrangement will also not be bad for you especially in geographical areas of intense heat and lots of sun.
The flowering that occurs from spring to summer is spectacular with a large number of orange and yellow funnel-shaped flowers and a heady chocolate and coffee aroma. Its size is around 4 or 5 cm and appear in groups of one to five flowers in the foliar armpits. Climbing bignonia is a vigorous plant and is entangled to tutors by tendrils to a height of about 8 meters.
The usual method of reproducing the climbing bignonia is by cuttings.
