Counting Wins While Accepting What Didn’t Happen

in Hive Learnersyesterday

The year 2025 is coming to an end, and I must say without any atom of doubt that it has been an amazing year filled with lots of achievement, accomplishments, and things to smile about. From getting promoted to a higher level at my place of work, to accomplishing various goals and actualizing dreams, to getting married, and many more, to name but a few. However, despite how great the year has been, I haven't really achieved everything I wanted to achieve and listed for this year, which seems more like a disappointment because it would have been awesome if they were all achieved. But since the year isn't over yet, can I still actualize those dreams, or is it too late?

There were two major things I highlighted to achieve this year that I couldn't, and it's kind of disappointing seeing how I'm very far from achieving them. But then I recognize the reason behind the delay in their achievements and know it's for the best. I'm sure you'll be wondering what those two things are. Well, they are the goal I wanted to achieve concerning my hive power this year and the dream of building my own house. Both of these dreams were brought to a halt due to reasons beyond my capacity, but I know it's for the greater good, and that's why I'm not totally sad about it.

Concerning the Hive power, for instance, I had initially planned to increase my HP to 20,000 by the end of the year, but for different reasons that hold greater fulfilment and happiness, that dream was not only halted but drawn back further, because rather than increasing my HP, I'm currently powering down, which signifies I'm going farther away from the goal. And for the building project, that was also halted due to preparation for my wedding and all the financial costs needed to make the program go smoothly and the way I anticipated. Now the wedding has been done, meaning I can now delve into the project, but then I'm not as financially buoyant as I was earlier this year, and the time frame is also short.

Can either or both of these goals be accomplished before this year runs out? In all honesty I know the answer is no, and that's if I'm being truthful with myself, because even though the event is over, I know I still have lots of things that need financial help that I need to sort out, and since both of these dreams require finances, I can tell myself the truth that I can't delve into them at this present moment. I'm currently at about 5000 HP, and if at all I want to achieve the dream of Hive Power, that means I'll need 15000 Hive Power. Can I afford to buy such a thing? Definitely not, and the same is the case for the building project that'll require at least 5 million to take to a substantial level.

It's not like I don't have faith or don't believe in miracles; in fact, I actually do. But the truth is that I'm a realistic person, and I love to work on the reality of what's on the ground and not on what I hope to get or look forward to getting, so if I'm working with what I've got on the ground presently, then those dreams are unachievable this year again. If peradventure something unexpected but pleasant happens before the year runs out, I'll be the happiest person and do all I can to take a step on those projects, but that's about it. Let's see how it goes.

Hello @vickoly

You made a very insightful point in your post that not every goal needs to be accomplished within a calendar year to be meaningful. Your patience is your victory. When your right time comes, you will get whatever you want but for that you have to work hard.

That's just it patience is the key, with time and commitment,I'll get there.
