Thanks. I didn't mention it in the main post but I actually paid for a unit in a building in Mandaluyong (near Shaw/EDSA). Unfortunately the project ran out of money before it was completed. Everytime I go by the empty shell of a building I think "Unit 905 was supposed to be mine".
It would have been an awesome location to live in Manila (sigh)

But due to the Asian financial crisis of 2008 (ish) the project ran out of money, steel prices skyrocketed and things never finished. Now almost 20 years later I still have all the payslips showing the unit was fully paid for....but ultimately never delivered.
Some investments pay out and others.....not so much
That's the problem with pre-selling condominiums. They get some problems with the developers and the project never gets finished. Sadly there's lots of cases like that here in Manila.
Shaw/Mandaluyong is a good location though
Yes. Burned twice on presale units. Not going to do that ever again :(
