Creative Sunday:- Showcasing my cooking Talents

in Hive Learners2 years ago

Good day everyone in the Hive learners community and all participants of the weekly highlighted contents showcase of creative Sunday campaign week 011.

Though, this is my first time of participating in this weekly campaign since I joined Hive platform, and I'm happy to be part of this week edition.

For as many that has read my introduction post, they will realize that one of my hobbies is cooking, so I will be glad to showcase my talent here also.

Today, I will be discussing the process of making Moimoi, it's made from beans. Firstly, I will like to mention the major and optional ingredients for this special meal as follows:-

Major Ingredients.

1. Beans.
2. Pepper.
3. Groundnut oil.
4. Salt.
5. Seasoning.
6. Onions.
7. Package material.

Optional Ingredients.

1. Fish.
2. Egg.

Pictures showing the ingredients.

Beans.

Pepper and onion.

Groundnut oil in a plastic container.

Nylon as package material.

Salt and seasoning cubes in a plastic container.

Cooked fish is an optional, it's not compulsory

Processes of making Moimoi is as follows:-

  1. put all the beans you want to use inside a bowl, and pour large amount of water on it and scrub it thoroughly until the chaffs are removed completely. Then, remove the water from the beans by filterating it as shown below.

  1. After washing the beans and all the chaffs has been removed, then wash the peppers and the onions and put it together with the beans inside a container in order to grind it together as shown below.

.
Here it's a local grinding machine that I used.

  1. After grinding the beans together with the pepper, then you will stir thoroughly by adding groundnut oil, salt and seasoning. Here, I added 1tin milk of groundnut oil because I only prepared two and half cups of beans since I was the only one to eat it as shown below.

  1. After it has been thoroughly mixed together, then you start to package it inside any of the materials you want to use along side with any of the optional Ingredients either fish or egg, but here I used nylons to package it and I put fish inside the Moimoi being prepared as you can see in the pictures below. Some people prefer to use plastic container, and some people prefer to use local leave for the packagings.

  1. After packaging, then you put the packaged Moimoi on the fire inside a pot of hot water that is already on the cooking gas as shown below.

  1. After about an hour it will be done and ready to be served, remove it from the hot water to cool down. You can eat Moimoi with Bread, Rice and Pap

Join me to have some bite, it's so yummy...😃😃🤪

The moi-moi looks very nice and rich.
I'm sure you enjoyed yourself

One thing though, I noticed you didn't remove the fish guts from the fish (that substance in the hole)
I usually remove it when washing fish. Don't you?

I used to remove the dirts in the hole, but this one is the fish egg, thanks for the contribution.
